Those pumpkins look like they were made with 2.5" squares! My favorites as you know. Well done, Terriamn!

Keep walking. I know the feeling of each step being a mental and physical battle. I have hit my goal two days in a row. Amazing and a first for me in a LONG time. Will shoot for day three tomorrow.

Congratulations WMUTeach and Terriamn for walking! You go ladies! Wish I could join you. Wouldn’t that be fun, walking but talking quilting and candy squares? Sounds ideal to me.

Yesterday was so very dreary and rainy, I couldn’t seem to accomplish anything. Happily the sun should come out by this afternoon. Have a coffee meet up with friends in a few hours so that will be cheery.

Two packages are due in today. We’re getting close. I’m anxious to get my blocks back as they look so great in the gallery. The colors you all chose are so wonderful.

Hope it’s a good day and fun weekend ahead.

Last year for Christmas, I bought a beautiful poinsettia at Costco. Following the holiday, we return to Alabama for the winter. The plant was still blooming and to pretty to discard, so we brought it with us to continue to enjoy it's blooms for a few more months. When it was time to return to Wisconsin, it was a healthy plant and so we decided to plant it in the yard where it would receive sun and water from the sprinkler system. It is now a bush and is once again starting to bloom.

For some reason I am unable to post the picture, will continue to try to do so.

Beautiful Poinsettia, Cheese! Looks like it has done well in the ground. When I lived in Hawaii there was a huge one outside my bedroom window... a foot taller than my head and about 7 foot wide! They grew everywhere. You don't notice them during the year when they are green, but then around November all the blooms come out and you think, "Wow. So that was a poinsettia!"

My daughter seems to be coming out of her post-election funk. We see the grandkids tonight, and will get them at our house saturday! Yay!

Time to take Marty for a walk. We are in Memphis so he can't run free like he does at home. But our house is on a nice circle for walking. Have a wonderful day, Squirrels!

Yeah on being with your dd and family Sewbiz.

We just came back from crossing over to Mexico, it’s hubby's turn for 2 implants. Walking from the car across the bridge to he dentist is always a pain for me. It goes slightly uphill and I am always huffing and puffing by the time I get there. Wasn’t quite so bad today since I finally got back to walking again. You go WMUT

Cheesehead our neighbor in the old campground has a beautiful pointsetta growing next to his trailer. He cuts it down every year when he leaves and it’s at least 6 feet tall when he comes back in the fall.

Having California roll sushi for lunch. Yum

Glad to hear things are progressing with your daughter SBG. Hope you have a wonderful time with the family.

Terriamn, you must be thrilled you’re seeing results from your walking.

Reba, your package arrived. WMUTeach, yours appears delayed. Maybe tomorrow!

Nights and days are backward, here are a few photos from Kruger. Up again in a few hours. We also saw Lions, monkeys, warthogs with babies, and hippos. It’s spring here so lots of babies of every species.
The lions were in a video and hippos left the river with their young at dusk so we didn’t get good photos. Hugs!

Well, rats, on the late arrival! The other package I mailed the same day but in a different direction has arrived. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Reba, what a thrill it must be to see those critters in their natural habitat and not in environment created to replicate the natural.

SBG, happy for you to have some time with the grands. Yeah! And the beautiful poinsetta is lovely, Cheese. I knew they were not just holiday houseplants but I have never seen one in the "wild".

Janice -- I'm hoping to ship overnight tomorrow but if not, it will be Monday. I am with my DH for the first time in 3 weeks and am a bit distracted from my final touches. I should have started sooner on the blocks. I'm sorry to worry you. I do this every time cause I am the champion procrastinator! Some things never seem to change despite me trying hard to change.

Sewbizgirl, we hope we raise our kids to have open minds and tolerance but I have noticed that they forget the tolerance component. This generation loves their drama thanks to social media. Crazy kids. Gotta love them!

You all are having some great adventures! I'm happy to be home however momentarily. That's my adventure. Come Sunday, back to work I go. The pile of test papers and research papers I have waiting for me to grade is scary. AFTER my blocks are finished, of course. Champion Procrastinator rides again!

Good morning. It’s beautifully clear and crisp outside. A perfect autumn morning. Ernie and I will take a nice walk when it warms up a bit. He struts like he owns the neighborhood. So funny.

Ibex, if you ship Monday, I expect the blocks will arrive on time. Enjoy your time with your DH.

Reba, your photos are amazing. What an adventure!

WMUTeach, your package is out for delivery so sometime today it’ll arrive.
