For me, this is put away fall and turn the condo in to a Christmas haven. Yup, every room gets a little Christmas. Even the bathrooms and the laundry room have a little holiday decor. My grands are coming over this afternoon to put up my tree and help with decorating. It can get kind of silly, but I look forward to this time with them. After decorating and putting away the bins, we make individual pizzas and watch a movie while gobbling down what then make. After I deliver them back home..... it will be crash into bed with a holiday book.

Oh, and I need, nay, must, choose what to take to my quilt workday tomorrow. Too many choices. Tee-hee-hee. Of course, I will take my bundle of new blocks to show off my future Boom quilt.

I have a question for you. If I want to make a eye spy quilt using squares what size squares do you recommend?

WMUT thank you for the squirrel square it will be going in the I soy quilt for sure

I opened my package of blocks an ohhed and awed over all of the blocks. Thank you so much. Can’t wait to get back after Christmas to sew the blocks together

NZ, wow! you got your top together already and it is beautiful! I love your layout, too. I'm going to save your pic on my Pinterest board for sashings and borders, if you don't mind. It's a great one!

Terri, your blocks look awesome together, too. (I see my two blocks!) That will be a beautiful quilt.

Today our weather has turned COLD. I could hardly stand to go out to potty the dog in my jammies this morning. It's a beautiful day, tho!

Happy Black Friday to all you shoppers, too!

Terriamn. I use 2.5" squares for I Spy quilts but it is really up to you. I am a bit partial to 2.5's Often folks think that little children need to have larger blocks but that is not true. Even itty bitty ones, can spy a crumb on the floor and pop it in their mouth. It is also good for them to begin to discriminate small identifiable objects, shapes, and colors. More important is what size do you want to use and have on hand. Have fun and use those squirrels.

All, I found those little squirrel last this summer at one of my favorite quilt shops in Shipshewana, Indiana. Just could not pass it up.

NZquilter, your quilt top is gorgeous, I love the layout. I might have to copy this with my blocks. I hope you don't mind.
