Thank-you all for the lovely birthday wishes. I did receive all of your candies. I plan to open them tomorrow after I get back to normal routine.
    - I enjoyed a very quiet day; with hubby and pets. Went out to eat at a place which served Thanksgiving dinner, then went home and watched football. I did participate in the pre-black Friday specials and bought myself a coat and fabric. Many of the pieces were $7.00 a yard. Several pieces were for future projects that I’m collecting fabric to make next year. Another 32 more days and it will be the new year.
    - again thank-you all.
    - I mailed out the birthday candies today. I hope they get there on time.
    - I’m still slowly (snail pace) working on the traffic jam kid twin top. BHMQ = Old Town mystery interrupted all of my current projects. Oh well I so enjoy working on those at my own pace.
    - try to stay warm (temp +28F). We are expecting snow overnight to tomorrow morning. 1st of the year. Trace to 4” possible. I think we will stay home and let all the crazies practice their snow driving.

Hi ladies, the mystery quilt from Merry Mayhem uses lots of 2.5” squares this year, if anyone wants to check it out. Part 1 is available, the mystery sewing is on New Year’s Day.

Hello Everyone, Hope that Thanksgiving was okay for everyone. Fortunately, but unfortunately we are missing out on all the lake effect snow. We usually don't get lake effect, but can get the edge of the bands. This time, no such luck. Would be nice to get a nice blanket for Dec. 1 tomorrow.....but guess not this time. An update on envelopes that I have gotten:

Thank you for the birthday package updates, December swappers. I will be up dating the list as the names come in. My part of Michigan has have of snow that I hear tell is lake effect snow. Lovely but hovering at about 22 degrees. I honestly have not gotten acclimated to the real cold yet, but I will all in good time. The ground is covered with white fluff, about 4 inches or so, and the marsh behind my home is well dusted. All of the tall weeds, bushes and reeds have little snow balls decorating their seed heads and leaves. They look like they have been flocked for Christmas.. The roads were not to good yesterday yesterday, but are fine now. The crews need about 12 hours to plow and put down ice melt of some sort. I walked just a little today but the wind was cold. More snow scheduled for tomorrow! Yea!!.

I will check out the marymayham site. I look it over every year but never actually make the quilt. But.. One More Try!!

I have done the Merry Mayhem quilt a number of times, and I’m very interested in this one if it’ll use 2.5’s…but I also see a LOT of 2 7/8” squares…that means there will be… what size of HST? I’m terrible with that kind of math…

This quilt popped up in my FB feed this morning. It would be a piece of cake with candy squares! I’m going to add this to my list of those to do.
