I'm more excited than I should be to spot fabrics that I contributed!

I've gotten the fabrics all chosen and cut where necessary for the Merry Mayhem Mystery. I was able to go through my box of candies and sort out the 100 "dark" and 144 "medium" squares with no problem and still many to spare. Woo-hoo!

I should, nay, I will put the sorting of 2.5's for the MMM quilt on my To Do List for next week. This will push me to not plan too much. I do like scrappy but I am more of a controlled scrappy kind of gal. Maybe that will be a good Christmas movie activity.

Great 16 patches, LC! That's a great sized block to sew up in advance, if you have no particular pattern in mind.

I still have a stack of neutral 9 patches to use in something. Haven't quite found out what yet.

Checkerboard Chain finally called my name enough and I’m heeding the call. I diagonally quilted a smaller piece this afternoon to prepare me for diagonally quilting CC. Tomorrow, it’s sandwiching time for CC. Woo hoo! Could I get two done in one weekend??? Be still my heart!

Janice the diagonal quilting makes the Checkerboard Chain an easy one to quilt.

    Thanks, hav4boys for the post.

Logcabin, since you are making 16 patches by color you could do some variation of a rainbow either in columns or diagonally. I attached two variations that I did a few years ago. Have fun and keep treadling away.

I agree, WMUTeach. Diagonal is the way to go on CC. Turns out the backing I selected is just a few inches too small so I’ve got a little work to do yet. I’m also getting distracted by other flimsies, as usual. Your rainbow quilts are so pretty. Thanks for posting them.

Dad is in the ER because of Parkinson’s psychosis, and we were there for 11 hours, and we’re going back today because they’re keeping him, so it I don’t post for while, that’s why. It’s been so exhausting and stressful.

Hi friends, I sent my squares to the birthday girls going on 2 weeks ago. Hope they make it soon. Happy Happy Birthday to you both!
