The ones that I find weird is the packages that were sent at the same time and one take 5 days and the other two or more weeks. Have you Pm'd the swapper you have heard from yet?

Me too. It's too big a task to open all on the same day (for me) so I usually start opening one or two a day about a week before my birthday.

I suspect everyone's post office has new recruits that don't process and deliver mail faithfully. In New Orleans it can be days before I see a mail truck stop nearby. Our local post office had one employee for the front desk so that post office closes early. The post office on campus cannot get tracking number stickers to save us customers from having to buy certified mailing to track our packages. Crazy stuff going on with the post office!

Friday the 13th has never been bad luck for me but it has for my brother who , as a child, was always injured on that day. He still approaches that day with caution now in his adulthood.

And everyone that opens before their birthday... it is your birthday! These are your presents. Open as you like! Me, I save them for my birthday. I may take my time opening them after my birthday arrives but I love looking at the pile of envelopes! Anticipation!

I think my 2 are just post-office issues because Heather has them already for her birthday tomorrow. Just fyi, one of the candy envelopes was ripped open and the post office put it in a baggie with a nice little note that they try their best to make sure the mail comes safely. I thought that was pretty nice. Anyway, hugs and I might just open them early. And I got a bonus envelop from WMU Teach (thanks!!) Hugs <3

Michigan post offices must be running smooth, Reba. I sent the envelope on Tuesday and ta-da it was there today!. Trusting that your two missing envelopes are on their way from your local post office to your mailbox. Fingers crossed.

I have been doing some cleaning out of patterns that I have saved to my laptop and just can't remember if I or any one else posted this pattern from Moda. https://my.modafabrics.com/webfiles/...cketChange.pdf It is designed for a jelly roll but we could use our 2.5s either at random or in color ways. A good use as leaders and enders while working on other projects if that is the way you sew. I was reminded of Log Cabin's blocks she was making while sewing on her treadle machine. Wouldn't this just work well? The pattern would make use of lots of approximately 500 2.5s for those of you with a vast collection.
