Brenda W. was my elf and she sent me a lovely thank you through PM on opening day. I am so happy the package was received. Those weird messages from the post office (the package had to be sent certified mail) had me very worried that the items got waylaid along the way. They weren't!!
Merry Christmas everyone!

Thank you so much RoseIrish for being my Secret Santa. It was so fun to open the wrapped presents and enjoy the variety of goodies. My dog helped me.
There were so many goodies but the highlights were the presents were wrapped and it took me back to joyous opening of presents when they were always wrapped. Then I received some lovely Tilda FQ to add to my hand pieced quilt project. Also fun fabrics were Alison glass and Tula Pink charm squares that will brighten any quilt. Let’s not forget all the tools needed to make those pretty fabrics sing: needles, needle threader, holders for said needles, notepads, ironing board covers etc.
May this season be bright for everyone. I am volunteering this week and hope to be part of the cheer.

My secret santa was Quilting panda bear. She states this is her first time doing this swap and I can attest to fact that she nailed it. Package included many things that i can use and enjoy:
3 quilt motif stencils, one variety puzzle book that is quilt-related, floss organizer box, bag of Bit o Honey candy, box of mint chocolate M & M's, chocolate Santa presently missing his feet as I have been nibbling, three cross-stitch kits, three embroidery transfer patterns for pillowcases, two flour sack towels, scenis picture of church to embroider, one wreath pattern with all necessary materials to complete it, two packages of cocoa, booklet of cross-stitch patterns for small stocking ornaments and a full size stocking, 63 skeins of floss in various shades of red, green, brown, yellow, blue, and black, and a gorgeous wall hanging of a Xmas tree that has loops to attach small ornaments to it with one loop holding a handmade wreath ornament. I will try to post picture of it asap but not sure how to do it on my phone . My computer died about a week ago and my daughter thinks it is a dead battery and it wont stay on long enough to recharge. Thanks again for a great package.

@roseirish48 I am so glad you liked it! The hanging was my first time working with metallic thread, snaps, and trying to wrap a backing over as a binding so there was a lot of learning happening on there (pic attached). I was grateful to be matched to someone who enjoys embroidery, as it was a wonderful opportunity to rehome stash items that weren’t getting attention. Merry Christmas!

I finally got a chance to open (and enjoy opening) my secret Santa package! I knew it was from Jennifer the minute I saw the lovely goat soap!
Thank you so much for all the wonderful things you put in! I love the baby turtle fabric you found, the fat quarters are so pretty, I can’t wait to try the espresso and chocolate, thank you for the patterns and did you embroider the towel? It is really pretty! Thanks for making my day!

Greetings to all Secret Santas! I got home to my gift from B.Zang last night and FINALLY got to see the treasures that were sent. Where do I begin? Many items had a great note attached with an explanation as to why it was selected. She really went the extra mile to find things that I really would like. So many items were wrapped in giftwrap so every treasure was something new and different. I would say that opening everything and discovering what it was brought me such joy in itself but the treasures inside the packages were thrilling.
The item with binding visible in my husband's picture to me of the box contents was actually a snowman wall hanging that is now on my wall. Beautiful! There was a selection of imagery from national parks that are destined to be featured in my ongoing crazy quilt project. There were a couple things I had heard about but now I get to fondle in person -- a needle sorting pincushion and bag full of Kwik Klip basting tools. I got some regional snacks that I can't get where I'm at (Smarties (chocolate, not sugar), Coffee Crisp, Aero and a strange looking Kit Kat compared to what I have). And it looks like they have no corn syrup which explains why they taste so good! I am looking forward to eating when next to my sewing machine. (I may share with my DH and grandkids if they find out I have a secret stash of candies and nut snacks!) There is a satin bag loaded with single serving tea bags including LICORICE!!! My favorite! How did you guess? And a bag full of nuts that I think was making all the rumbling noises in the box every time I shook it. Love it! My pup got some wholesome dog bisquits so if she's good.... I got scratch pads -- I always need those. I got quilting socks that I flashed at my DH to show him that it was possible to find sewing themed things that are off the wall. And a bag to hold them all in. Perfect! But the fabric that was included in this package is amazing. Thank you so much! The Canada fabric is stunning. There are singing elk in one of the fabrics, celebratory flags with fireworks, beautiful canadian red flags on grey and maple leaves and "Canada" on white. In addition, there are three fat quarters of fabrics being used by the First Nations for their ribbon skirts and shirts. As an anthropologist that appeals to me on nonsewing levels, too. As a geographer, this entire bundle of treasures soothes my soul and invites me to think of possibilities.
B.Zang, thank you for the kindness and thoughtfulness of your gifts in this package. Wait until the grands see that wall hanging! I better go make one for them because I am keeping the one you sent me! THANK YOU!
