Heck, I'll use anything that's usable -- so if the seam allowance is 1/8 or more, I'll fudge it. Of course, construction is nicer when you don't have to fudge, but it's only in the last few years that I was won over to trimming. Which means, I used to have to fudge all the time.

My tolerance is about 1/8" for smaller squares. For larger squares I've been known to coax 1/4" "oops" into submission. Then again, I make charity quilts so don't look for perfection.

Cathy - great to see you again. I'm back after a long hiatus off the board. Welcome back to the South.

    Welcome back Macybaby.

Most of my larger FG came out correctly after trimming. Not so much on the baby FG though. They are all usable but some of the wings are a little short on top. I have the reds and neutrals cut and have the rest of clue 2 to trim. I also still have half of the square in a square to put together.

Pant, pant! Whew, I finally got all the clues done. I was afraid to go to Bonnie’s blog in case she threw in an extra clue today. I have a feeling the reveal is going to be very involved. 😳
Happy New Year to all of you. Praying God’s blessing and peace be yours in 2025

All clues done. What was I thinking making a miniature version??? Working with blocks half the size of the original blocks. The finished quilt will definitely be mini.

Clue8 is up and more flying geese!! I have to say they are my least favorite and most difficult to get perfect but at least I am getting better at them.

I think she has an easter egg on her sewing machine.... I see stars forming in one of her pictures. Go get those geese!

This might be the goosiest mystery since I've been participating. I think On Ringo Lake had eight per block, but I don't remember how many blocks it was.

Confession time -- I wasted so much red fabric cutting unnecessary strips for clue 2, I went and bought more red on Etsy the other night. So now I can't claim this mystery is all stash. But I'm glad I'll have the necessary red.

Still working away slowly on clue 4.

I'm not sure I believe Bonnie about 'see you next Friday for clue 9.' Wondering if all of these sets can be for the same block.
