What pretty hummingbirds, LC. I can't wait to play with that one, along with it's sidekick fabrics. I took a quick look at my fabrics and yup, I still have plenty to choose from! Too much, in fact.

Today I was listing the quilts I took out of my daughter's shop, putting them up on Etsy. It was an all day job, and I'm still not done. When 5 pm came, i got the usual email from the shop, telling me something had sold. Hooray! It was a quilt! So this was quilt day, for sure.

My nice hot pot of Red Beans and Rice is ready to eat. Should hold us right through the cold weather!
What is your Etsy shop name, I would love to take a look. Red beans and Rice sounds yummy, I might have to look for a recipe.

All the fabrics are gorgeous, Cardinals, hummingbirds, tie dyed and Halloween, this should be so fun.

We have charged up all our power stations, lanterns, flash lights and extra blankets. By Tuesday it will be 70 degrees colder than today. We have bags on order from Amazon and will be here tomorrow to protect the plants, all except for the Hibiscus. We still have to figure out something for it. Four years ago we were here in Texas when the power grid went down for a week in the freezing cold. Then we were in a trailer with little insulation but it had a gas stove and was a game changer for us. Now we are in a brick house but with an electric stove. We should buy a one burner propane camping stove to have on hand.

    Hope everyone stays warm
Here is PA it has been snowing for 17 days straight. I am so over the snow. It has been several years that we have had a winter like this one. Yesterday we finally got the sidewalk and driveway shoveled and got up this morning with it being snow covered again. UUUUGH.

Terriamn, the POOH fabric is so cute.

Good afternoon. Made it home and the first thing I did was go through the old swaps. I opened up all the galleries back through 16. Most of you haven't seen them in many years. NZQ, I found Moonwork42029's Boom 17 Topaz blocks. Are these the one's you are referring to? There are LJDugas's Boom 17 Opal blocks and AnnaQuilts Boom 16 GT blocks but I'm sure those are batiks. I searched quickly so I could have missed them but all the galleries I still have are now open. Search away!!! Let me know what you find.

It's against board rules to promote my shop in the threads, but we are allowed to have a link in the sig line. I just put my link back in! Thanks for asking.

Hi sewbizgirl, I had to find you here on this cold frigid night. My feet bother me a lot, so they feel warm and toasty tonight with those beautiful knit socks you made me way back. I just had to tell you.

Good morning! Oh my gosh, it’s 10 outside but toasty inside. Definitely a day to fo some quilting.

Signups end Thursday and we’ve still got room for a few more people so why not join in!!! We’d love to have you. Lurkers, we know you’re out there and you would be a great addition to the group. All skill levels are welcome! Jump in!

Boomers, if you haven’t begun prepping your fabrics, time to do so. Remember to label the individual small ziplock baggies with your board name and put in your fabric color requests if you have any. Reminder that block choice belongs to the block maker so please don’t request specific blocks.

I still haven’t decided what I’m sending. It may be an old red fabric from an early swap. I made a quilt from it already and have enough to make another. Or maybe it’ll be some batiks I have. Time for me to decide.

Hope you all stay nice and warm! Enjoy your week.

My husband said we brought the SD weather with us when we moved to GA. Thought I'd get my first winter without snow, but that didn't happen this season. I do miss having nothing to do on cold winter days but sew. DH and I have been building a garden shed and it's gotten warm enough during most days (above freezing) to be out working. I'm looking forward to really hot summer days to stay inside sewing with the AC on!

I'm still considering joining in this round, though I've still got one set of blocks waiting to be assembled from the last time I joined. I think I lost my paper with how I was going to put them together in the move. I know I made a bunch of 10" blocks to go with the 12" blocks, and know it's not on point, but I don't have any notes on what I planned to use for sashing and I'm pretty sure I had it picked out and set aside - but it's now put back into stash so I'll have to figure it out again.
