About 3:30 this afternoon I completed my 27th Kennel Quilt for this shipment for animals rescued from the California fires. Honestly thought I would end up with a few more but this turns out to be all the batting that I had cut and ready to use. All have been washed using Tide Clear and dried making them nice and fluffy. These will ship out on Tuesday.
Since losing both my cat from feline leukemia 2/2/24 and my little Yorky on 10/18/24 from a stroke , helping rescued animals has been dear to my heart. So in memory of Sammy Jo (cat) and little Bridget (Yorky) I offer these for your viewing.

I understand your pain. I lost my lovely Lab/Husky, Della, 10/5/2024. I must be especially difficult to lose both your pets so near each other. What a wonderful way to honor them by making Kennel quilts to help other animals who have been lost or injured. I am certain Sammy Jo and Bridget are proud of their Mama.

Fizzle....The little Kennel Quilts end up 12x18, just large enough to fit inside a pet carrier when rescued. I cut mine 13x19 to allow for seam allowances. No binding is used as these are turned inside out and then quilted somewhat to hold batting together when washed. Check out the Kennel Quilts website for more information. I've been doing these since August 2024.

What a wonderful thing you are doing. Always so much need with all the bad weather disasters these days.
Great job getting so many done!
I hope to get some made in the next few months in memory of our beloved dog lost to lymphoma a few years
ago. Her buddy the cat is getting up there but still with us despite his health challenges. Nothing like a pet to
snuggle to brighten the day.
