Yea, for a 2.5 Day finish. I will be showing "progress" because another unexpected quilt jumped into the line of UFO's. Keep plugging along, poking along, working along or plodding along on 2.5 quilts and projects. Our little candies are not just for collecting but for.... using.

Pamelor, I didn’t take offense either. We all like different things. No apology needed.

Still not sewing/quilting much. I think it has to do with the weather. It’s cooler, snowier than normal. The last few years by mid February we were in the 40’s-50’sF. Next week is supposed to be another frigid week. It’s unsure what snow amounts. I’m just grateful I don’t have to get out in the weather.

Happylab, your weather forecast sounds much like mine. It is c-o-l-d here and predicted to be colder next week. Good time to stay inside and stitch on projects. We here in Michigan haven't had a true Michigan winter in years but this year is a winner! So many of the young'ins are complaining. They have not experienced ice, snow drifts and cold like parents and grandparents. To our 20 and 30 somethings, cold was 30's and 40's not teens and below. We just smile, bundle up and carry on after showing them photos of ourselves sliding off their roofs into snow piles!. Those were the days, may friend. We thought they'd never end.....

I don't have a LA so I go easy and simple on my 2.5 quilts.

    Awaiting pictures of your progress.
I’m having a hard time visualizing the cross hatch with the squares. Do you have a picture you could show me?

LC, here’s a cross hatch done on squares. The pic is attributed Shecansew.com. I’m going to crosshatch my giant swoon that I’ve had for years as a UFO. It’ll be up in the sewing order soon. Hope this helps!

Redpurselady, 2.5 day is the 25th of each month. Just a silly day I created for our group to show off our accomplishments, progress or dream quilts that use 2.5" squares.

Thank you for the photos pf crosshatching, Janice. Perhaps calling it diagonal quilting would be more descriptive. I use this simple straight stitch quilting on a lot of my 2.5 quilts. Easy to eyeball straight stitching and with just a little care I don't have any "tails" to tuck in. I find it faster than Free Motion and easier to stop and start when I get interrupted by needing to eat, ZuZu joining me or my phone dinging with another important message my my mystery friend in Timbuktu.

Hey, ya'll we are being very quiet. I am just checking in with a heads up that the March Birthday Swap names and addresses will be posted in a two days. If you are a one at a time envelope "stuffer", you will need two for the month of March. Are you working on a 2.5 project? Snap those photos and share with us on the 25th of February.

For now, I will shiver looking out my window and thank the good Lord I have an efficient heating system to keep me cozy indoors. Michigan, along with many others of you, are in a cold "snap" that will last for a few days. Stay warm and stay safe walking about in the ice and snow, mud and goo and while others bask in the winter sun. Don't forget the sunscreen!
