Well, I never did get that nap but I’m about to fall asleep now.

SBG, it seems all my favorite blocks and quilts are two colors, usually white and something else.

NZQ, one of my sons gets debilitating migraines. I’m glad you’ve recovered. Do you have them regularly?

WMUTeach, your chemo quilt is beautiful. I’m sure it will bring comfort and be loved.

Time to hit the hay.

SBG, Did you happen to see the Blog from Bonnie Hunter, maybe on Friday? Someone was making a whole quilt with the Burgoyne Surrounded blocks. I saw it and felt so smart because I knew the name of that blocks with all the tiny little pieces.

I showed off my chemo quilt at quilt group tonight and came home with three patterns for 12" blocks. Yeah! ready to get the machine humming tomorrow.

Janice - love the colorful quilt - and using all those candies too
WMUTeach - great finish - and yes, that light blue is so soft and mellow. What a wonderful gift.

Weather is unseasonably warm so we got the kayaks out and went for a ride. The lake was like a sheet of glass and the water fowl were very active. two geese came right up to our kayaks - we just sat and looked at each other. Such a peaceful morning.

Sad news about JoAnn fabric stores. I didn't shop there often - but there were items they carried that were hard to find elsewhere. Such a wide variety of craft supplies.

Good morning! I’m working on some Boom 30 blocks and it’s prompting me to pass on a few reminders. First, 12-1/2 is your goal. Be sure to measure before you tuck them away. If the blocks don’t measure up, please fix them. Second, please watch your stitch length. Please use short stitches as a couple of the blocks I’ve been working on are pulling apart at the seams. I know it makes it harder to unstitch when you make a mistake but watch those long stitches lengths. Three, look for selvages and be sure you cut them off from your companion fabrics. And lastly, watch your seam allowances. Very small seam allowances will pull apart during quilting or in the wash.

Thanks everyone!

I went through the fabrics and have some plans for the fabrics. We certainly have some beautiful fabric. I cannot wait to get started.
