Macybaby wow that is a fun design

Went to the park white elephant sale/ garage sales. Found a few must haves and feeling so thrifty.

Please keep my oldest dd Kelly’s your thought and prayers. She will be running the Tokyo marathon today pushing a friend who has ALS who weighs over 200 pounds and the peanut cart that weighs over 100 pounds. She will be devastated if she can’t finish the marathon for Troy. It will be his 99 th marathon and he is trying to win his last star for his elite status.

Great blocks, Susie. Love the spiderweb.

Terriamn, good luck to your DD and Troy. I hope they get to the finish line smoothly and safely.

Macy, glad you’re on the mend. That’s a great layout for your blocks. Will enjoy seeing it come to life.

I’m still just busywork sewing making scrappy blocks. I finally broke down and bought a roll of batting instead of buying individual pieces. I’ll have no excuse not to finish the many UFOs I’ve got now. DH is going to rig a hanger from the basement ceiling so I can just pull down what I need and then cut it off. (The basement is clean and dry.). Now if I can get him to make me a large table for sandwiching, I’ll be in heaven.

Terri, beautiful star for Cheesehead. Those "star legs" blocks intimidate me. They are harder than they look. And I want to say your daughter is amazing! I pray she and Troy cross the finish line!

Macybaby, glad you are feeling better. Your EQ8 quilt looks great! Our blocks will look so pretty around your center. Can't wait to see the finish.

Janice, enjoy those grands. I also buy batting by the roll, from Marshall's Dry Goods. I use a bed upstairs to roll out my batting and layer and pin my quilts. It seems so much cheaper to use batting by the roll.

Great Halloween blocks, SusieQ.

I'm really enjoying seeing the blocks roll in!

Macy - the quilt will be huge - wow. And I am amazed you can get the blocks we made onto the program.

We have had wind and more wind the last few days.Really messing with our sinus so have stayed inside.

Hav4boys - the fabric brought to mind wandering in the florida citrus centers - love the color combos
LStew - two for your cardinals.

Enjoy the weekend

Traveling Gramma I love all of your Blocks but especially those 2 for Hav4boys. I love the colors but I love the way they highlight her fabric. And those cardinals are cute as a button. I’m studying the Halloween blocks. I can’t seem to find a way to structure them and have some color variation.

We have had the wind here too. Keeps blowing the back door opened. About 10 miles south and east of us my sister got snow but no wind. Crazy Indiana weather.

I’m having such a good time stretching my gray matter and sizing up blocks. I’ve really missed this.

Macy, I hope you feel better soon.

Love the star block, colors look great together

This morning I've been playing in EQ8 with my layout for this Boom's blocks. Will add more blocks are you all complete them, and then I'll know where they go when they get here. I've got my 16" center block done and will work on the others while working on Boom blocks.

This is what I've come up with in EQ8. The colors are only approximate, but it helped to decide on basic design for the middle part.
This is a cool program. Crazy it lets you load our blocks into it to do your own layout. I have to do old school. Putting all my blocks on the design wall and them move them around when I don't like the layout.

Beautiful blocks posted today and yesterday! I find that once I get going it gets super addicting. I'm guessing I'm not alone.

Janice- here's one for you and the other one is for Terri for that first grandbaby. How exciting!
