Unfortunately, when I was quilting this, I was still recovering from the accident. I managed to hit a template twice with a needle and now my Bernina Q16 sitdown has to be shipped back to Bernina for repairs. That quilt will be very costly in the end.

I've started to drive a little. The vertigo has pretty much gone. The trouble is I'm nervous about driving, and I have a different car that is full of technolgy. It has been very challenging to learn how to drive it so I'm taking it slow.

Jennr8r - love the quilt top. and so impressed that your backing is so well centered and perfect for a double sided quilt.

Janice - love your blues and yellows and the touch of blue binding is so perfect. great finish.

Nelco - looking forward to seeing the final top. those splashes of color coordinated blocks are great!

LAF2019, you timing is perfect. Here is a picture of Nelco and her finished quilt top using 2.5s. "Top done with 540 candies."

So sorry about your Q-16, JENNR8R. But glad you are back to quilting, in some form anyway. Yes, new cars are all about how much technology they can fit into a vehicle. I got a new car in September and I am still learning how to make all the tech work for me. Some features I have just dismissed. I don't need a mystery voice to remind me when to change the oil every tine I turn on the car. Other features, I really like and use. Most I have just learned to use on an "as needed" basis, such as how to connect a new phone to my car and how to delete the old phone. One good feature of my purchase is I can stop at the dealership any time and they will teach, or reteach, how to use a technology function. That feels good as long as they teach and just do it for me.

    Stitch on my friend.

Hello friends! I was very early this month and mailed my candies before I left for Japan! I’m here now and hope everyone is also enjoying some spring-like weather!
