Wide awake at 1:00 am? Sounds like they may have put some steroid into the knee. Hang in there... Thursday will be here before you know it!
Swoon binding looks great, and you saved all your points!
Terri, your plan for black bottoms and interchangeable tops sounds good. Pack a couple of dressy tops. The one time I went on a cruise, there was a "Captain's Reception" and everyone dressed to the 9s. Men were asked to wear tuxes! Enjoy! You are going to have so much fun!

Cruising Alaska should be totally different than the cruises we took in the Caribbean. Already need to bring rain ware and lots of layers for the cold so I don’t want to fill my suitcase with clothes for the evening. Cruises are much more casual now than they use to be. No formal nights what so ever. Which is fine with me. But 10 days with no sewing will be difficult. No current hand sewing projects guess I will be reading a lot. Plan on 10 days of being spoiled and enjoying every minute of it

I have never done a cruse, but I have a friend that does about 2 a year and she has it down to a science. Black pants and a couple of nice tops, glitter and glam if that is you or interesting but classic jewelry should do the trick. It is more important to be warm on cold days and dry on the wet days. She always packs a blazer that can be dressy or casual. Sometimes she takes a lovely shawl for evening wear. Doesn't take much space and can perk up a semi-dressy outfit easily.
Hope your first day out proved to be doable, Janice. I am sure that Ernie is head comfort nurse and would bring you treats, If you would let him.

Good morning at least it’s not 1 am like yesterday. I’m doing fine but the pain finally hit last night along with the swelling. But it’s manageable. I think today is GramE’s procedure. Hopefully she’ll be feeling better soon.
I see a package is already in the mail. I think I’ll peruse the gallery and enjoy your work.
Have a good day all.

WMUT thanks for the reminder about a shawl or blazer. Totally forgot about that. Been ages since I have even looked at my necklaces but believe I kept a few fun necklaces and glitz is so much fun once and awhile
Janice hope the next few days go by quickly for you and the swelling and pain diminishes quickly
We are in a drought here and it is supposed to rain today. It’s dark and gloomy out so sure hope the weatherman is right.

GramE, glad the procedure has been done but waiting a week might be tough, huh? And no shower for a week? I’ll be thrilled to take one tomorrow after only three days. Hope this coming week will go smoothly and swiftly and that the pain relief is complete when it’s turned on. Thinking of you!
Went for a short walk around our cul de sac like a real person. Didn’t need my cane and had no pain besides the incision sites. Woo hoo. Time for a nap shortly.
We’re keeping an eye on the NC fires. A couple are very close, about 12 miles, and the wind is strong. Not worrying yet but keeping an eye on them and making a plan just in case. Us, Ernie, both cars, computers, Ripley’s and Cyrano’s ashes and some clothes. Everything else is replaceable and we’re lucky to still have the cabin in GA to flee to. Cannot believe this could happen but then we just went through Helene. Sheesh.

Janice- so glad you are able to move and walk. But oh my, possibly being told to leave. UGH! We have all our 'papers' in one carry file box. Kids know all important papers are there and they go where we go. Copies are at my brothers house.
As you said - only things that are important and irreplaceable.
GramE - another successful day - but oh so sad that its not turned on. Really, they should have done a test drive before sending you home (hehe) but at least you know what to look forward to.
Started my "spring cleaning" Planning on taking it slow this time. So two large windows and screens and blinds, front door and storms, changed the curtains, and call it a day. Tomorrow if not windy, will attack front windows. Fees nice with windows open and fresh air coming in.

Janice hope you are still feeling decent as the block wears off.
First week of May we leave for an Alaskan cruise. I no longer have a need for dressy clothes so scrutinizing what I already own. Thought no problem big ship will probably never see anyone twice so I can get by with two outfits to dress up and down. Then hubby informs me he upgraded us to an area of the ship that is a ship within a ship all contained in a smaller area. Oh great. So my question is do you think a pair of dressy black slacks, a long black skirt and a a knee length black skirt with assorted blouses to go with them is enough for a 10 day cruise? Don’t want to over pack but do want to feel comfortable.

I did 3 cruises over the last half a year, a total of 75 days. You will be just fine. Are you on Norwegian, the Haven? Have a wonderful time.
