Very pretty block. I looked at what everyone made with this fabric as originally, I was stumped as what to do with it. I like all the beautiful blocks made with it. This will be a gorgeous quilt.

Love that block for TG, Michelle!
Macybaby the Clifford quilt is so cute. Are you thinking of blocks around it, to get it to size? I'm thinking 'dog bone' blocks!
The storm was kind of a nothing burger here... just plenty of rain. Hope everyone else was safe too.

Hi Macy, Love your Clifford! Yes, please send your blocks at your convenience.

The rain hasn’t been much here but it seems that areas just 20 miles away are getting more than us and since that’s where the fires are, we’re thrilled. Might be getting more rain later this week, too.

I’ve been moving slowly but am almost done piecing a backing for a QAL from a couple of years ago on the Birthday candy swap page. I have one more section to sew and then attach to the larger piece and that’ll bring to four the number of quilts to be sandwiched. Tomorrow will be batting cutting day and maybe one or two might get spray basted. We’ll see. I’m pleased to be working on these. The Chinese Coin below is my first real quilt top, probably 2000’ish! Yes, it’s time to quilt it.

Janice - is it OK to send you the finished blocks at this point?

Oh my - step away a few days and takes me awhile to read through what I missed
NZ and Michelle - love my blocks. So glad I sent this out because I seriously don't recall my plans for this material - but you all are making a much better quilt than it would be!

Janice - is the weather affecting your knee. throughout my life there was always someone who would predict the weather with their knee pains. UPdate on the fire and hopefully rain

Terri- enough rain, my golly you all will become part of the gulf soon

Macy - I pray that they will know just how much time and talent went into Clifford. That is amazing.

Hair - Mine has always been baby fine but plenty of it. Straight. Never took a curl. totally gray. I found a beautician in December who is helping me grow it out a bit and give it some much needed help. Today I wanted to shave it all off and she patiently talked me out of that and shaped it up.

Finished up another UFO with my candy. Just need to trim off the strings but its done. And there are bags of projects waiting!

Janice, I love the border on your Coins quilt. It is so richly beautiful! You are being so productive! Congratulations. Hope to see that piece from the Birthday Swap soon.

Had some tornadoes in the mitten last night, high winds of 50 - 80 MPH. This resulted in many trees toppled over with roots up in the air. Last I heard there was 80,000 to 100,000 without electricity. Not near me but in other parts of the mitten. I am sure that you have seen photos on national news of ice storms that hit the upper part of the state Saturday and Sunday. The Mackinac Bridge was closed today because of falling ice. All of this is far away from me but in areas I have spent time. It is still is so devastating to the trees and difficult for communities that are small and isolated in forests and it is a long drive to get help, food, and medical care. Tomorrow should be warm and that will help tremendously. Wednesday we are up for more nasty weather. I will nestle in at home and pack for my retreat this weekend.

Glad the fire area got some rain in the Carolinas. More than just a few of us seem to be in Bazaar Weatherland at the moment.

Love your batik Boom quilt, LC! And a pieced back, too. It's great... hope your nephew loves it. And... I see my block.

Today is my little GD Ivy's 6th birthday. 6! Where did the time go? Wish I could be there to play with her, but I didn't go to Memphis. Will see her soon, I hope.
This is Ivy on her first day of kindergarten, a few months ago.

LogCabin82, love your Boom 29 Boom quilt. You made a beautiful quilt from the blocks. Congratulations!

AnnaQuilts, your blocks arrived. Thank you!

So this morning I gave up on this sitting around stuff and resting and took an almost 1 mile walk. What do you know, my knee feels better than it was feeling and that’s with fewer meds. Tomorrow is my PT evaluation. I think they’re going to be surprised at my degree of mobility and range of motion.

Have a good day.

Ivy is a doll and I love her shoes. Just wait till you get the last day of school photo and see how much she has grown. My DD posts the first and last day side by side each year and yicks!

Janice - congratulations. Just remember moderation and patience!

Picked up some travel books for northern AZ and Utah and figuring out a road trip where DH doesn't have to hike to see the views! And then figuring out when! I still want to do the Boom. i must have the fever bad since I am thinking of travel trip or boom!!
