Good chilly morning, again. I didn’t realize it’s been several days since my last post. My apologies for not keeping up. I’ve been into a lot of PT and errands and such so the days got away from me. I’m happy to say it looks like I’ve turned a corner on my knee. I’ve been able to sleep for two nights now without pain and I’ve walked 2 miles straight 2 days in a row. What a relief! Now if the swelling continues to dissipate, I’ll be thrilled.

Michelle, I’m so pleased you’ve been enjoying your Boom experience! Yes, I will start the next one towards the end of summer. You would be most welcome to join again.

GramE, what a beautiful block for AnnaQuilts. Hope you are getting relief from the implant!

SBG, a belated Happy Birthday to you. Hope your time with the family is enjoyable and bet that lasagna was terrific. The thought makes me want to whip one up.

WMUTeach, it sounds like your retreat was hugely successful. Love the HST quilt. Can’t wait to see pix of your other projects as you finish them.

Terriamn, I love a nice nap!

Looks like we’re going to get a freeze tonight so I guess I’ll be covering the new Rose bushes. I thought we were safe from a freeze but WNC surprised us yet again. If you don’t like the weather here, just wait a day and it will change.

I’m off. Time to do Wordle and have a second cup of coffee. Enjoy your weekends!

Janice glad you popped in I was getting concerned. Great news on your knee. Good luck with your roses. Nothing is coming up here yet. Today is my errand day, not good for a Saturday.

Our friends arrived home from Texas late last night and my sister and crew left this morning for home. Our parks empty pretty quick by mid April. Will miss everyone but glad to be home.

Have a great day

Michele yep you have the Boom fever. It’s so much fun joining in for 2 sets, it’s double the fun. Even when I was working full time it was two sets for me, have to admit a lot of the boom blocks are still sitting in the drawer but I am trying to keep up with the latest booms and make the blocks into quilts.

We traded our Jeep Grand Cherokee in yesterday it just wasn’t comfortable enough for the long Texas drives. Gees what a process that was. We said yes about 12:20 and didn’t walk out of there till 3:30 and that was without financing. Can’t imagine how long the people sat there that needed financing. Afterwards we went to a great little place to eat and we had their baked rigatoni. It was delicious.

Did I mention hubby has what ever I had, some kind of upper respiratory virus. He is super quiet when he’s sick, a little unnerving for me.

Today will be a good day, going to unpack all my sewing gear
Congrats on the new vehicle, I hate the car buying process, it is always an all-day experience. Sorry to hear about the hubby coming down sick. Hope he feels better soon.

We will figure out something. We had an option of only particular car that had all the options dh wanted.

My oldest dd called today and we talked for over 2 hours. She loves the job she was recruited for, only works 30 hours a week and has all the benefits of a full time person. Best yet she now has wonderful insurance in case a retina transplant surgery ever becomes a thing. We are very happy for her.

This cold thing is really hang on took another long afternoon nap.
It is nice to hear your daughter loves her job. Alot of people don't, My husband hates his job. It's really not the job itself, it's the people that work around him. The ones that don't really do anything and pawn their work off onto others.

Michelle, this is my favorite swap. I love the piecing part of quilting and the talent of the ladies in this group. Hearing about their families and getting to cheer them on in the good and the bad. This is my quilting family. Welcome to the family.

This weekend was the opening weekend of the camping season at our campground. It is way too cold to go up there and stay. We went last evening and dropped off some supplies, People were walking around wearing winter coats. On a good note, it gives me another weekend to play in my sewing room.

Lstew Kelly retired 3 or 4 years ago because of corporate politics. She knew she wanted to work again but someplace where people meant something to the company, She also wanted absolutely nothing to do with managing people ever again and with her eye she can’t spend much time on the computer. This job is perfect for her and one of her responsibilities is to create programs just plain to make the employees happy. Pretty awesome.

Your campground opens a lot earlier than ours. We did stop by the other day to check for critters but thankfully it was exactly as we left it. Critter free.

Hoping tomorrow is as nice as today so I can get back into my walking routine. Janice after having knee surgery walks double the amount I do. 😵‍💫

I finished the my last 3 blocks, one for Cheesehead, one for Michelle Quilts and one for TravelingGramma.

Life has been a whirlwind here. One of our girls (1st grader) has been having trouble with some of her peers at school all year and it's been causing her a lot of stress and tears. Everyday was tears! She has been begging me to homeschool her and I've been trying make her at least finish up the school year. It got too much for her this week and we withdrew her from the school. 😔 I found a highly recommended online homeschool curriculum for her and I'll see how she handles it. I am so hopeful that we see her relax and be happy again! I'm also hoping that I start to see her reading improve with the one-on-one attention. Who knows, maybe I'll homeschool all the kiddos next year, lol!

NZQ, great last blocks! Congratulations on finishing.

I guess I missed something. Lstew, do you run a campground? Or are you talking about one you frequent?

Terriamn, hope hubby is feeling better.

So I guess I overdid it this afternoon with walking. My knee is aching again. It’ll be an evening of rest, elevation and ice. I just treated myself with a little cup of ice cream and Ernie absolutely loved licking the remnants from the cup. I’m now his best friend! lol.

Have a good evening, Stars!

Love your blocks, NZQ! My little Ivy was bullied by a boy in her kindergarten class earlier this year. They put him in the other class! I feel sorry for those kids. He goes around kicking the other children.

Janice, don't be too eager! You are doing great but it's still early in your recovery so be good to yourself. I wonder if Ernie has ever tasted ice cream before?

Audrey's pool party was moved to Sunday (tomorrow) because the temps will be 10 degrees warmer. The pool is heated too. Don't want any munchkins getting sick. I can hardly wait for all that screaming and rowdiness... not. But kids will do what kids do. It can't last forever.
