Coffee strikes again. I really need not to have a cup in the evening. I was sorting through the scrap bags I brought home and there are tons of good material in there. I threw away the smallest pieces, under a half inch but kept the rest. Half of it has been pressed and sorted according to size. Lots of small chunks and even a couple of near fat quarters that will go in my stash. The rest will be for my mindless sewing days when I crumb piece that I’ll eventually turn into a scrappy top.
SBG, my LA class is in December. I’m looking forward to it. I’d love to see how your quick quilts turn out. Now that you are able to post, I hope we see lots from you.
Terriamn, sounds like you’ve got a LA’er in the family. Lucky you! I hope your quilts turn out well.
Well, I’m going to try to go back to bed and rest. I’ll eventually fall asleep. Night all.

Good foggy WNC morning.
GramE, I’ll hold off putting your block for Terriamn in the gallery until you take a new one. Just didn’t want you to think I’d forgotten it. Enjoy your day out.
Going out for coffee this morning with friends. Then it will be time to finish up sorting the scraps. Have a good day.

Sewbizgirl, look at Nelco’s block. All the 8 point stars are Waltzing Matilda’s. But the right coloring and a nice floral pattern make for a beautiful picture when they come together. This block looks so much different on the wall. I can’t believe it came out that bad. I will take another on Saturday. Actually physically leaving the house with a friend to do a bit of thrift shopping and have a bite of lunch.
Janice, I was just thinking today, I have too much fun creating these blocks. I don’t even understand why but I do. It is just a great sense of adventure and accomplishment at the same time.

My sister just left and it’s another rainy day. I made a mess of my fabrics looking for a backing for one of the boom quilts. That will be my number one priority today then hope to sew at least one block.
Not the news I was hoping for on the colonoscopy, instead of the 5 year plan for repeating the process it’s now the 3 year plan. That news had me pretty wound up but now taking it in stride. But a big bummer
Janice your bag of scraps sound like fun. I have always given my sister all the scraps and when working on the house quilt my scraps were very limited. Sewbiz came to my rescue with a package filled with fun scraps for my doors and windows.

Lovely block for Sewbizgirl, Cheesehead.
Sorry a colonoscopy is requested every three years now. Not a the news you hoped for. Hugs. I love scraps. I’m almost done sorting them. It’s good of SBG to have come to your rescue with scraps. It’s so fun going through those bags.
I’m just back from the LQS where I bought a small Janome travel machine. I’m going to play with it this afternoon with the scraps. I’ve wanted one for a long while so I broke down when I saw this lightweight red machine. I can take it with me to the cabin! Woo hoo.

Cheesehead, I love my block! Thank you. Those rows of flying geese are so hard for me!
Janice, congrats on the new machine! Have fun playing and getting to know it. Show us your machine!
I was happy to share scrap bits with Terri! I seem to accumulate so many of them. I have most of them in a former cat litter container, and when someone needs scraps, I just grab a big handful and stuff them into a mailing bag. And I still pick up scraps at my guild meetings!

TG your blocks made me smile, love the assorted fabrics you used
Cheesehead fun Christmas block for Sewbiz.
The memory bear Sewbiz made for me to give to my friend arrived today. It is perfect and I’m so thrilled with it, Tracey is going to love it.

TG, what nice Autumn blocks you made for Lstew! They make me feel holiday-ish!
Terri, thanks for sharing the bear! Your quilt sure looks great behind him!
Wednesday I reached for something and --PING-- back spasm. It wasn't even a big movement. So now I'm nursing a bad back. Can't do a lot except lie down. Today is better than yesterday, so I'm hoping it settles down soon.
Have a nice evening!

SBG and Terriamn, cute bear. It will mean a lot to the family. SBG, sorry about the back pain. Sometimes it seems like it takes nothing for that “ping” to happen. Sounds like a rest is called for until it heals. Hope it’s soon.
TG, fabulous autumn blocks for Lstew. So cheery.
Have a good evening.
