My husband has been walking through the challenges of a pituitary tumor, and that has taken much of my heart and focus. At the same time, I started a new job back in April managing 35 amazing people. Right now we are in the thick of budget season, and I’ve had a crash course in accounting as I now oversee accounts payable. Let me just say—budgeters and accountants see the world completely differently!

I’ve also been navigating my own health struggles with OPLL (Ossification of the Posterior Longitudinal Ligament). I had spine surgery in 2020 that made a huge difference for my cervical spine, but the condition has now progressed to my thoracic and lumbar areas. These days my fingertips are completely numb, and some days it feels like I’m walking with cement blocks tied to my feet. It’s a daily challenge, but I’m pressing forward and learning to give myself grace.

So yes, I’ve been stretched a bit thin, and I’m grateful for your patience and understanding—I haven’t forgotten you. 💙

On a brighter note, our family has some wonderful news: grandbaby #5 is due February 11! Another sweet grandson, bringing the count to 4 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. My heart is so full. 💙💙💙💙💖

Through it all—the hard days, the long nights, and the unexpected blessings—I hold on to the truth that God’s strength is made perfect in weakness, and His goodness continues to shine through every chapter of my life. ✝️✨
Sorry to hear about your hubby, praying for healing and peace for the both of you. Hugs to you. Congrats on you little bundle of joy coming in February.

Also, I’ve received an email from SBG. She is dealing with some health problems as well and is not really able to keep in touch with us right now. She wanted me to say she loves the blocks being made for her. She’ll be in touch soon I hope.

Let’s keep Hav4boys and Sewbizgirl in our thoughts.
Prayers to Hav, also. I continuously add this group to my evening prayers. I love my quilting family and wish the best to you all

SuieQOH, Thank you for the next block in my collection. It shows off the print so well.

I have been stitching away all day and finished on of my project at my retreat. Next is a couple of Boom blocks then a set of 20 exchange blocks. Those are cut and ready to go!

Have a magnificent fall weekend and might I say.... Go Detroit Tigers!

Wow! So much going on! We all seem to have health issues, family issues, pets, and other stuff. Flu shots, COVID and RSV shots, maybe masks.... Hey, an ounce of prevention beats a pound of cure. Everyone, stay safe and healthy as we move into cooler weather.

Congratulations, Janice! Your quilt deserves all the recognition you can get. It's beautiful.

Nelco - Roma tomatoes are so tasty. Hubby pulled up our container garden about 3 weeks ago. He plants hot peppers; I plant cherry and Roma tomatoes. This year he added potatoes. We have so-o-o many bags of jalapenos for salsa in the freezer, but that's about all.

SusieQOH - Wonderful blocks! Here are a couple for you. Don't know if the fabrics are what you had in mind as muted, but I hope you like them. The first is a pink and yellow, the bonus is a Dresden fan topstitched onto the yellow background.

TravelingGramma - I hope you and hubby are in good health and doing well. My sweetie celebrated his 80th birthday last Sunday by piddling in his workshop. That's his favorite place. He didn't want to go out to dinner or anything special.

Naming colors isn't my thing, and I hope you like the blues I used with your peach. The bowtie uses an ombre with metallic dots scattered around. I added a bit of a plaid and batik to the bonus block.

TerriAMN - I thought the ombre blue with gold dots matched your fabric, also. I hope you like it.

Well, it's past my bedtime. Good night, all. Stay safe.
