Glad Marty is feeling a bit better! Our Pibble was brindle and white and never did turn grey at all although our two other brown dogs did. Ernie definitely has some grey around his face but, like Marty, he looks most distinguished.

His face used to be jet black.

Hi everyone, I made some blocks today. I have one more to go.

Sewbiz, TravelingG, Nelco.

I take horrible pictures! Points are not cut off

Sewbiz- the center is "supposed to be" the light fabric but I love the fabric you sent and wanted to use it instead. Marty looks like such a sweetie!

Marty looks like a lover, our Rio was also totally gray in the muzzle by the time she passed.

Went to the pool today, first hour was just hubby and I but eventually 2 more couples joined us and we had a nice chat.

Air is not cooling the house correctly. We are hoping it’s the heat outside. Lady year hubby had brought down a small 2indow air conditioner we had in. Our house in the city. He thought if we lost power we could at least run this in our bedroom. That is now in the living room window and so far it’s quite comfortable. We were just discussing updating our Minnesota home air and furnace but this might be taking priority.

SusieQ love your 3 blocks great blocks

SBG - Here's some more whales for you. The waves are navy blue; the swirls of fish are various blues on white.
MJP - Good luck in the state fair!

Here's another one. WMU - this brown seems to be the best shade with your blue.

Love your blocks, SusieQ and A2P, especially my undersea blocks! Love the fabrics you put with mine, and the patterns you chose. Thank you so much.

Here is my block du jour… for Ibex. I thought your bayou needed a gator!

SBG, Fun gator! I did not even think of gators. Too clever and well designed. (I wanted to say well executed but did not want to appear anti-gator.! Tee-hee-hee!)

All2pieces, I like the brown. I was too busy trying to be matchy-matchy and could never find a brown I liked and you did! Yay! A very handsome block to help complete my quilt(s). You have been very busy today! Woozers.

I made 3 blocks today, a mosaic block with black for WMUT’s elegant fabric, then two blocks for Janice. Janice, I made you a Round A What block since you liked the one I made for Hav. The white in those blocks looks funny in the photos, because they are lying on my black cutting mat.
Beautiful blocks. I love WMUT's block. I would not have purchased the fabric for myself, but seeing it worked into blocks, it is stunning. I can't wait to see what she makes with these

WELL..... the four of us pawed through boxes and boxes of started projects, fabric, books, tools and all of the detritus that we accumulate as a quilter. It took about 2 minutes for us to start realizing that a little order was needed. In the end we all left with bags of what we thought we could use, sorted out lots that no one would ever use (paper templates for example) and designated boxes and bins for other groups to have a look at. We left as friends, of course, but for a moment there it could have been chaos.

BTY, I left with fabric for quilt backs, a few books and a pile of crochet snowflake patterns. Crochet is one of my favorite crafts that has been put on the shelf for 20 plus years when quilting took over. Time to get out the hooks and return to a dearly loved craft with some new to me patterns.
I like to crochet and knit also.

Now it’s too big to be moved and will need to be cut down.

I was able to surprise my sister, she was so excited!

Janice in my old guild we had a lady who received salesman samples of fabric from a relative. Unfortunately most of the ladies reacted to the free fabric the same way as your fabric grabbers.. I love the idea of the brown bags but it probably would work best with a smaller group.

Sewbiz all three of your blocks are beautiful. I like to choose one fabric from our fat eights, a fabric I wouldn’t choose and be amazed at how pretty it works up into the blocks. This time that was WMUT’s fabric. I think your word elegant describes her blocks. A great reminder to change up my fabric purchases
Terriamn, so glad you made it safe and sound.

Marty dog is doing much better! Yesterday was the day we were going to take him to the vet, but he was so much better we didn’t go. Still watching him like a hawk…. He finally ate a little dog food. I have been giving him his Milk Bone biscuits because that’s all he would readily eat. Today he is acting more normal but I think his bad knee has been bothering him. When he was 6 he snapped his ACL in that leg and had to have surgery so he could walk again. It’s never been totally right since then, but he’s adapted well. Thanks for asking about him.
Glad to hear Marty is doing OK. best wishes for him.

I love the gator, so cute.

I was able to sew today, I called off work today as I woke up with my right eye very sore. After a trip to the eye DR. I have scratched my eye. Dr. seems to think I got something under my contact, and it scratched the eye. I am on antibiotic eye drops every two hours today until bedtime and then 4 time a day for ten days. After four doses I can tell it feels better already. I was able to get the last three blocks finished, one for TG, All2pieces and Hav4boys
