Good day, Roses. Where has this morning gone already? Had coffee with a friend and then not the least of it was spent collecting five more laundry hampers worth of fabric from our friends. Five! I just about worked through everything I had and now I start all over again! lol. I certainly do have the pick of the crop of yardage, that’s for sure. I’ll take what I’ll never use to the next Guild meeting. (A lot went during retreat.). Overall, it still makes me sad though.
DH is going trick or treating with the grands this evening and I’m staying with Ernie at home. DH wanted a ghost costume using some kind of white fabric bag he acquired somewhere. He put it on, with the point of the bag on the top, cut eyeholes and arm holes in it and it looked great until we took a picture and realized he looked like he was in the KKK! Ditched it immediately! Oh, my gosh. Disaster averted!
Another package or two are due today.
Have a lovely day.

Glad you figured out dh’s costume that could have caused quite a ruckus.
Applause here, going through my fabric stash at home than here I could not find a good third color for the Walkabout quilt I want to make. Went to Hobby Lobby found the perfect color when leaving the lines were long and I wandered around the back corner of the store where it was quieter. Lines went down and I checked out with no problem. Yahoo.
Today we are going to a shrimp fest about 90 minutes away. They have different vendors selling $5.00 dishes of assorted shrimp dishes and bands playing. A great way to try something different. We went 2 years ago and throughly enjoyed ourselves.
Our couple days of temps in the low 80’s are over, my they were refreshing. Last night I was able to sit outside on my swing, read and wave at folks going by in their gulf carts. So relaxing

Good morning all... I have been enjoying the gallery. Almost all of the blocks are there now. I hope the last makers don't get in a bind trying to finish. Only 20 days left until they are due in Janice's hands. That means less than 2 weeks to make, and the rest of the time left for travel. Don't be hesitant to reach out to someone if you need help finishing your commitment. I, for one, would be happy to help if needed.
More cool weather today. I'm loving it. We have been cutting firewood and will soon borrow our neighbor's splitter to split the logs. There's no shortage of firewood this year, with all the dead trees on the ground from the drought two summers ago.
Marty is doing much better. He's back to his usual self, except there's a possibility of liver disease. We are watching the signs. He may need to go in for a liver test, but not just yet. His kidneys checked out fine. This cold is hard on his arthritis, but he's in the house most of the time.
I hope we can keep chatting as a group, between swaps. It's so nice to follow what you all are up to!

Great day here in western PA, took the dogs to the dog park. They love it. Then took the puppy to Lowes for a little socializing and walked out with an upright freezer. I can finally get rid of the chest freezer. I had a hard time reaching the bottom anyway. Then went to Rural King to pick up Pig Ears for the Puppy's chewy treat. Remy and Addie love the Pig ears. I am home now and going to sit down and put together the Halloween Quilt with the Boom 33 blocks. I will post soon. Evening all

Here is what I made today. I am in a Flight of Fancy Block exchange and created a paper piece pattern and absolutely love it. So, I made my Boom blocks in it. Here are blocks for me, MJP, and SBG.

Good morning. The sun is rising on a pretty day. The sky is becoming pink.
Hav, love your pp’d blocks! What a pretty pattern. Great work and fast, too. I’ll add your blocks to the gallery later today along with the one made by GramE several days ago.
Today I’m off to Lowe’s to pick up paint chips for the new Bonnie Hunter mystery, to look at shelving for the sewing room and to get a couple of containers to hold some of the massive (by my standards) yardage I now have. We’re getting down to the end of our friend’s stash now. Thank goodness. I’ve got bags to take to the small guild meeting on Thursday. I have enough yardage to finish all my ufos needing backing. Woo hoo!
Hope you all have a pleasant day.

Hav, your blocks are stunning!! Thank you for the one you made me.
Janice, has the BH mystery started? I will check her site. I've done 2 of them. One is ugly as sin and in a heap( for some unknown reason I took it apart) but the other one came out pretty good and my men all like it.

SusieQ, about a week ago , October 24, Bonnie put out the introduction for Lupine and Laughter. Her son is having serious health issues, you can read about it on her blog, but she decided to launch the intro early. The rest of the clues will start dropping November 21, about a week earlier than usual. I picked up my paint chips today.

Thank you for my pretty block, Hav! I like all the different fabrics in that pattern. They look great.
Janice, glad you found backs for all your quilts from your friend's stash. She's probably glad too.
