Thank you, Nelco. And today (the 10th) is the Marine Corps' Birthday... 250 years! Semper Fi! Hubby loves his birthday!

WMUT, I love how you describe your back yard and all the nature that is there. Please keep doing that, and please stay in this group forever!

We are freezing here too! I'm getting to go join hubby, fireside.

Hello to all. Winter has arrived in Bunker Hill! I think the only thing we didn’t get was an ice storm, but we got a bit of everything else. These days make me appreciate a garage that is right out my kitchen door. I don’t have to go outside to start my car or unload my groceries. I am blessed beyond measure!

I’ll have some more pics tomorrow Janice but I’m going to try to sleep some, against my will but I’m trying.

Good 22 degree morning! Good grief. We got a dusting of snow last night. I took Ernie out in it and he hurried his business along in record time. Neither one of us wanted to be out there in that wind. I’ve got a lunch planned so I hope it warms up fast enough that the ice disappears before I leave or I won’t be going.

GramE, thank you for my stunning block! It’s a keeper! Am looking forward to more pix.

SBG, a belated happy birthday to your hubby! And I agree that WMUTeach writes so beautifully. So enjoyable to read.

TG, what a wonderfully messy job, pomegranates. The rich color of the fruit and how delicious. I’m a tad envious. I love them. We’ve got peaches but the deer eat them before we ever get a taste. Oh well.

Boom 34 blocks are due in 10 days. Keep your eyes on the calendar, Roses. As long as they come in on time, I should be able to turn them around before Thanksgiving.

Am just a few seams away from finishing my last top for a while. I must quilt some! Maybe I should QAYG my Boom 33 blocks, too. I’ve got so many tops and blocks that I’m feeling overwhelmed. I’m not sure where to start. The blocks might get my creative juices flowing as they are so quick and easy and I’ve got a stash of large batting scraps from my friend. Using those would free up a whole bin. That’s it. Decided. Boom 33 first. Maybe. Roflol at myself.

Stay warm everyone!

Me again. The ice is gone and I'll be off to lunch later. In the meantime, I'm updating the gallery.

Have a pleasant day.

The gallery is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

Gram- love that block you just posted.

Still cold here but it's going to warm up tomorrow. Mookie keeps fighting me for my place on the sofa. It's a total power thing.

Oh Janice, thanks for the birthday wishes for hubby, but it was the Marine Corps birthday he was celebrating yesterday. He is a proud Marine. He hardly pays any attention to his own birthday at all.
I feel your overwhelmed feeling with your plethora of tops. Just start with one! I’m in the same boat.

Taking poor Marty to the vet in a minute. He’s not doing well, poor baby.

Oops! I thought it was the Marine Corps birthday and hubby’s! Sorry to hear Marty is back to not feeling well. Ernie and I are thinking good thoughts for him.

I’m tackling my first Boom 33 block and boy am I doing battle with it. Today is definitely not my day for FMQ!!! Besides that, my old quilting gloves are just about worn out. They have these little nubbins that hold the fabric nicely but I cannot find another pair like them in small. I thought medium might work but I just sewed the finger tip of the glove to the block. (Did I have a choice comment or two.). Mediums are too long in the fingers. I’m stumped. My LQS doesn’t sell gloves. Online isn’t much help either. I’ll go back to my old gloves until I find another properly fitting pair. And I’m done FMQ’ing for today. Maybe forever!!!

I had a lot of fun doing these boom blocks. I forgot how much I liked the creativity of doing boom blocks.
Two great blocks, I love the one for TG. The flowers are pretty. I love the little surprise in the middle of the Ohio star. Great job.

My husband is recovering from hernia surgery he had Friday afternoon. Here’s the text I got while he was waiting to go in for the surgery: OR is running 1/2 hour behind. I’ve seen the surgeon. They gave me a manscape and drew a smiley on my groin. Maybe I shouldn’t have scheduled this during Friday happy hour.

Anyway he’s home and did yard work on Saturday. I’ve never seen anyone with the recuperative powers he has or maybe he just doesn’t feel pain.
Your husbands comment made me laugh out loud. He is so funny.
