Thank you for the kind comments regarding the quilt. Snooze 2978 I agree that Batiks will look brilliant in that pattern. I look forward to seeing the finished product. Bearisgray...I have not given the quilt to her yet, but I will this week; you are right about non-sewers having no idea about the cost. She plans to pay for the backing and neutral background fabrics. I'm really bad about giving an estimate cost for the labor so it is a labor of "love for quilting". Lena 1952...yes, the name of the pattern is Monet's Wedding Ring. It is a Judy Martin pattern and I found it in her book..Scraps.

I think you did a wonderful job. Judy Martin's books were some of the first ones I bought when I started sewing, and I have always liked that pattern. Before I bought a longarm I quilted many large quilts in sections. Congratulations on that beautiful quilt.
