Such sadness today. Terriamn, you and hubby have my sincere condolences on the passing of hubby’s dear brother.

My friend’s husband is in the hospital with serious kidney and swelling issues. It’s not looking good right now and he’s in his 60s. Hoping to hear good news.

And sadness is just automatically heightened during this time of year with the three holidays stretching over 6- 8 weeks. Life changes alter our thinking about things and we do a lot of that during November & December.

My condolences to all who are heavy-hearted. On those days when you don’t think you can do anything, just do the next thing you have to do. Spend some time reading. The Psalms are full of comfort.

Merry Christmas to All.

Reading the Psalms is a good suggestion, GramE. It's just what my wounded soul needs. Thank you!

Just saw article online that 2026 carry on's will have new requirements and very strict enforcement. Since I want to travel in 2026, may need new luggage.

Love lurking on this thread. You have interesting discussions/comments.

Good foggy morning from WNC. It’s as thick right now as I’ve ever seen it. We’re going to the grands house this morning for brunch and Christmas craft making. Stringing popcorn is high on the list of the grands wishes so we’ll see how that goes. I foresee popcorn everywhere!

Nice to hear from you Petthefabric. Jump in any time.

I’m feeling like myself except I have super low energy and am napping frequently. This flu/covid really hit DH and I hard. Glad it’s over.

Not much else is going on here except for working a jigsaw puzzle, a much loved pastime. I hope to get a new one for Christmas. Anyone else enjoy them?

I’m off. Enjoy your day.

Final Exams and Commencement this week. Then I get to think about decorating for the holidays. and quilting :-) I'm glad you and hubby are feeling better, Janice.

I hope everyone is able to find something to be joyful about as these end of year days lead into a new year.

Remember to eat well and drink lots of water. That's what I keep telling my students so I will share it here, too. It can be hard to do.

Janice, glad you and hubby are on the mend. I had Covid for the first and only time in July. I was so sick!! My entire family had it once or twice so they didn't get it nearly as bad as me. ( It was the tail end of a family vacation when I got it). Wow, never realized how bad it could be.
Too late for you but I just read an article that said when stringing popcorn to wait until it's stale. I want to do some! Sounds like your brunch will be fun.
