I have always loved the smell of coffee brewing but I never drank coffee til I was in my 40’s. I like it but it has to have cream and sugar. Latte is even better. I could drink iced tea all day every day. If it’s good tea I don’t need any sugar but I usually have just a bit. I also like hot tea but never seem to get around to drinking it, so it becomes iced tea.

Onebyone, I remember my grandfather complaining about tea made with bags. He said they tasted like dust!

We have a couple of tea shops nearby that sell loose tea. My husband likes herbal teas, so we always have a couple of those in the cupboard. Actually, I need to make a stop to get some for him for Christmas - thanks for the reminder!

I have always preferred coffee but didn't mind tea until I had my wisdom teeth out. I was very young, living in the back of beyond. We had to travel a long distance to the dentist so I opted to have all four wisdom teeth removed at the same time. Bad decision. Two of the teeth were impacted so the dentist drilled them out. Another bad decision.

When I got home the bleeding was excessive. The recommended treatment was to put tea bags on the wounds so that the tannic acid would cause clotting. After a while of sucking on 4 tea bags it worked( I think) but the very strong tea made by my saliva was very unpleasant . I never drank tea again.

Now I am limited to one cup of black coffee per day as I'm not supposed to have caffeine.

1: Lapsang Souchong is one of my hubby's favorite teas! we always have it around! he also loves rooibos and Earl Grey with double bergamot.
2: I'm a Southern USA girl thru and thru but sweet tea is DISGUSTING, I take my iced tea unsweetened.
3: green tea is my favorite tea, the grassier the better, I put a hint of honey in it but that's it, I also love herbal blends & rooibos and the occasional Irish Breakfast with nondairy milk, no sugar
4: I'm hopelessly and happily addicted to my Nespresso machine, i keep copious amounts of original pods around plus decaf for my sweetie, I make lattes with nondairy milk, no sugar, I also never met a dirty chai I didn't like
