Today is my DH birthday and my GD first dance recital! I will be watching what all you busy bees are planning to get done!
Enjoy your quilting time! I do have a baby panel quilt on my design wall, Little Chicks by Bonnie Sullivan. My dil chose it because it has the ABC's and is a soft flannel. I ordered the kit from Shabby Fabrics. I am pondering How to quilt it. Ideas are most welcome.

I have been visiting my friend Barb in Arizona for the last week. It was 70 and sunny Thursday morning in Phoenix, and then I landed in a snow storm around 20 degrees and dark in Peoria. Yesterday I had to do things that needed being done, and today I will start working on my Bonnie Hunter Clue 3 (lots and lots of tiny HST). Hopefully will get them done and then start working on my Clue 4 at my Tuesday sewing group.

We are still expecting more snow today, then cold Sunday (minus zero at night). It will be a good time to stay home and sew.

Much to my surprise, I finished piecing, quilting, and binding on the potato chip baby quilt. Still have binding on a long-term labor of love. I was given a quilt that had been started my a friend's mother, which was 60% done handquilting. I've had this kicking around my sewing room for the last year and a half, finally finished hand-quilting, made the binding, and it's going to fight me to the end! How many bindings have I sewn over the years? Answer: Hundreds! Which one have I been persistently sewing incorrectly? Answer: This one! Goal is I will give this back to my friend by Christmas.

I've been in the middle of an Iowa snowstorm since last evening and it's still coming down....won't stop until sometime Monday morning from what I hear. We have a crockpot of homemade potato soup going and I'm sewing the day away. I've had a couple yards of a red and off white small print and some white with red swirl print for a couple of years and finally decided to just cut it into strips and sew. it won't be anything special, but might end up being another charity quilt.

Sorry a couple of folks are not having a good weekend between ER visits, no power, etc. We are having a lovely little snow in Delaware - big fat fluffy flakes. It won't last long and give us just enough to make it pretty for maybe the rest of the day. We don't get a lot of snow in lower Delaware as a general rule so it's nice as long as it doesn't stick around. Since we don't get much snow people forget how to drive in the snow (if they ever knew in the first place) and it gets a bit crazy out on the roads. We quite often lose electric for a few hours from trees falling on the lines or a car hitting a pole. Hubby and I just hunker down and enjoy the quiet. We've been know to pull out a table puzzle and work on it by kerosene lantern if the power goes out for long. My plans for today was to do some quilting on my sit down LA. We'll see how that works out. Hope everyone gets to enjoy the day in way or another. It's good to see another one:-)

Husband is full of drama over snow fall, so we pretty much stayed in bed and watched tv most of the day... Also he "remembered" that he bought two bone in pork shoulders when I was gone and that "something should be done with that". Thanks hubs!! So I did cook about 20 pounds of pork while watching tv, but the oven did most of the work.

Today I am back to work on my Bonnie Hunter project. I'm now two weeks behind on the project because of the timing of my trip. I have gotten most of my neutrals cut for a kazillion tiny HST.

Oh no Raggiemom, that sounds painful!
i got the blues cut for the Chandelier, and have started on the neutral strips. They are also scrappy so won’t cut the setting triangles until I stitch the squares. I had my FW tension corrected by a friend recently, so plan to set up on the dining room table and use it for this project.
m-fay, disappointing when plans get interrupted by power outages, but good you have a generator for your fridge etc.

I have spent most of the morning sewing today. Started Jacob’s Ladder blocks. Then switched to my daughter’s projects. Have a cup cozy with her cross stitch in it, a mug rug to go with. Also cut pieces for a tea bag wallet that she will sew later. These are for her gift exchange at work. Now time left in the day to do some more Jacob’s blocks.
