I had a productive weekend despite not touching my quilt yesterday. I've finished (mostly) the potato chip quilt and will post some pictures in the Pictures thread. I'm calling it Potato Chips Gone Wild. I have a little hand sewing to fix a huge mistake where the backing wasn't wide enough. I think it shifted when I glue basted it.

Haven’t really enjoyed the last few hours as my FW got a thread jam, so had to watch the Schoolhouse videos and then finally got the teensy weensy screw back in (had no idea how shaky my hands can be) but forgot to put the chrome piece over it…out again, and now back together. I did some test stitching to try and get all the oil out of the bobbin area, time for a nice soothing hot water and some deep breathing to relax 🤪
I used my FW when we had our RV and never seemed to have issues, It has been oil and lubed and makes a nice stitch so hopefully I can enjoy the rest of these blocks. I’m not the kind of person that likes to tinker with vintage machines…after a few days if I still feel the same, I will ask my friend if she is interested in it.

I had a very productive weekend. I got the second of two ordered pouches finished. I quilted and put the binding on the table topper and runner. and am about half finished sewing down the binding on the topper. Plus, I tried out a free pattern I found on Crafty Staci. I had hoped it could be used for placemats but the first try took about 4 hours to finish. So....I think I will make a pillow out of it. Thanks Raggiemom for hosting.

Projects checked off my list are: 3" blocks and most of the Christmas cards. I could do more this evening. The UFO must be worked on tomorrow.. must,, must, must!

What an amazing amount of work accomplished this weekend, quilters and stitchers! I am impressed and imagine that you are glad to check those items off of your "to do" lists. So sorry to hear about the ER trip and the power outages and deep winter snows. It was REALLY cold here this morning, 3 degrees, but by Wednesday it is predicted to be near 40 degrees. Good-bye lovely snow. Please schedule a return for Christmas. I won't miss the ice, but I will certainly miss the pillows of snow covering the bushes, marsh and hills out my back windows.

I'm glad to see many of you had productive weekend. I ran several applique patterns through the printer and organized some cross stitch patterns. So the weekend wasn't a total bust for me . I certainly hope I can participate a little more for our New Year's Eve VQW. Happy Holidays!

ER is no fun. Sorry. No idea about snow. We had a cold front move in at noon. No sandals and shorts today! I have made progress on my Nativity runner. I started with the middle section, which is the manger scene. Enjoyed reading about everything!

Trying to finish a quilt for a Christmas gift for a niece, but it's going to be very close. I will have the blocks finished tonight and the boarder tomorrow. Possibly begin the assembly. Then if I can get it on the frame, maybe...but they are coming in Friday, so I don't think it will be done in time. But I haven't given up! It's called "Simply Elegant" by Diana Beaubien. https://i.etsystatic.com/5248701/r/i...79503_su7x.jpg

Your sandals and shorts comment made me giggle. My Indiana daughter loves flip-flops and wears them year around. Her home town was predicted to bottom out at -3 this morning. I suggested that she wear socks to avoid frost bite. Tee-hee-hee.

I got my Christmas cards finished late last night, except for one that needs a special insert. Today...............more quilting and a party with my quilting guild this evening. Who-hoo! Yummy treats and good conversation with like minded friends.
