I am just finishing up a quilt using Leah Days little printable stencils. I glue baste. No watering down or brushing on or spraying. The needle went over all of that fine as usual.
I didn't have hidden pins to contend with. My quilt wasn't exact to the stencils meaning I had to plan ahead and space them out. First I tried holding them down. Then I used a dab of the glue - that was no problem. It will wash out. First I used regular copy paper. It was a pain to tear out. Then I got a pad of scribble paper from the dollar store and cut them down to size and ran through printer. Those tear off easier. I really didn't like the process this time. I might try again but not sure. It takes a long time to tear off those papers without yanking some stitches too.
