my blocks tend to get a bit more ... ummmmm ... not so precise when I work that small.
yours is impressive. :-)

Have I got this right? January block is Yankee puzzle and i choose whatever size i want to do. And there are 16 half square triangles to make and combine ? I couldn't find a paper pieci⁶ng method.

the method used at this pattern site is a combination of flying geese and half-square triangles. if you scroll through the page you will find both paper piecing instructions and conventional piecing instructions.

please don't link to photos stored offsite.
in the reply box, click "go advanced." click the paper clip icon. browse to select the photo file. scroll all the way to the right to click the "upload icon." "x" out of the window. click the paper clip again (usually takes more than once) until you see the file name, then click on that.

Here’s my January block! I’m going to use a packet of coordinated fabric featuring a cute bug novelty that I’ve had sitting around for quite a while, combined with the red as a background.
I’m making each block at 12.5” so that I can make a 3x4 lap quilt with the 12 blocks with some sashing.
