I've only been involved in one quilt show but as I remember it admission was free the day I volunteered but I paid the day I came back to view the show with family and friends.

This is a difficult problem. There are expenses to put on the show. And with all volunteer work; 5% of members do 95% of the work. If someone works 15 minutes should she get the same perks as someone who works 10 hours? I've seen many members get in free because they're "working", but never actually work. And sadly, it's happening more often. And then there's, we're all getting older and can't do a lot of the jobs.
