While working on a quilt do you listen to TV, radio, bok on tape or something else?

Me too! Judge Judy! She can be mean, and make the wrong assumptions about how technical things work, but she's entertaining.

I love to have the old black and white Andy Griffin episodes playing while I'm sewing. Our local station plays them from 3-6pm every weekday. I've TVO'd so many episodes. I know them all by heart already, so it's easy to listen to. Same with black and white Gunsmokes.
Sometimes I just listen to internet radio. I need to have some sound besides the sewing machine to keep me from being too anxious.

I listen to audiobooks the most, but sometimes also watch/listen to movies or tv shows on my phone (lots of detective shows). If I get to a part where I need to concentrate I stop the video. I also watch YouTube videos about quilting or listen to podcasts.

Love the sound of a ticking clock. Would love to have pandora but it shoots me over my broadband limit. We are switching to fiber optics shortly so then I'll have the option. We don't have tv or streaming

My mother has lived alone for almost 3 decades, so she always has a radio playing to ‘keep her company’.
I live in a busier house, and find having the radio or TV on feels like noise clutter in my brain.
But lately I do like to play music when FMQ’ing. I think maybe the rhythm helps me form the designs.

I mostly have on music. In addition to airplay, I have a large and extensive collection of probably about 600 vinyl albums and a similar amount of CDs, all are stored Alpha by artist and then release date within the artist. I have a 400 CD jukebox player and am going through it alphabetically. First off, just by nature of the technology pretty much everything in there is at least 10 years old and I have forgotten owning some or having others in other formats, so expect to hear things that I don't as well as hearing things I don't expect. Plus the shifts of genres between artists can be huge! Shortly before the Super Bowl it was like a like a mini half time, I had the Gipsy Kings (so all Spanish), Green Day, and Brandi Carlile in the Highwomen -- I'm almost out of I now but I haven't been sewing so much.
Sometime I do listen to audio books, but I have to be at certain points in the projects to where the sewing is pretty much automatic and doesn't require a lot of thought or really captivated by a story that I want more.
There are also times when I just want to hear human voices in the background and I will also put on TV/movies. Usually I want good stories that I already know/don't have to watch, like from my personal collection the Back to the Future movie series. For TV I want people talking nicely (no screaming or fighting) and doing what I find interesting things, so home improvement shows or real estate shows or cooking shows are likely.

My son has been watching motorcycle repair videos non-stop on You Tube lately. He's watching in the living room and I'm up in the loft, so I can hear it when I'm sewing. I've learned a lot about repairing motorcycles!
