Snowing in the mitten. The kind big fluffy flakes that remind you of a snow globe. It will all be gone by Monday with intermittent return of snow for the rest of the week but nothing that will be more than a couple of inches or less.
I am a bit envious of walking outside easily in February but I'm looking forward to some walking time outside latter in the month. March is such a variable weather month. Sun but cold, sun and warmish, snow, sleet, snow, rain but mostly muddy and dirty boots that will almost always put away for the season in about four weeks. Yah!

Poor Ernie! I know nothing about that particular dog health issues, sorry, Janice. The people I know who have had to take thyroid medicine have had no complaints. Apparently whatever the issues were before the meds were a lot worse than the issues since the meds is how I interpret it. Hopefully, it will be a great solution for Ernie. Ernie is so lucky to have you!
TG -- love the way your quilt turned out using the rag quilt sashing. Great texture and beautiful blocks. What's not to love? I am glad you got it done and that sashing looks good. It is definitely a new combo to try on my list now. The bag to hold it is also inspiring! Thank you.

Janice I have nothing to offer you on the meds for the dog but I have been on them for 20 years with no side effects I’m aware of.
We have had 3 straight days of all day volunteering. Tomorrow will be our big bash and hubby and I have been racing around getting everything ordered, cleaned up and ready to go for the pool party, we have picnic food available, lots of prices, a singer and lots of prizes lined up

Hope everyone and Ernie are doing well today.
Last week was a big week for guild doings.... the meeting, the sit-and-sew for QOV, a QOV presentation, and a quilt show in Monroe that a bunch of us went to. Thought I'd catch up with things at home this week, but today began an all-month SHOP HOP in Mississippi. It's called "Shop Hoppin' in the 'Sip", LOL. I will try to resist... ha!

Finished the patriotic and loved how the raggy sash looks. Used two of the blocks to make a carry bag for it. The backing material did not shred as well but blue color still shows through. Thank you one and all for helping some veteran very happy..
I am now ready to start a new boom swap!

Checking in from the Daytime Retreat. There are about 35 quilters. Everybody is talking and stitching away. That’s my station with the little red Janome in front.
I’ll catch up with posts later. Hoping you all will have a pleasant rest of your week.

Good morning. Today’s another day of retreat. I’ve been making easy crumb blocks so I don’t have to focus too much on precision in the hustle and bustle of retreat. I decided to make the crumb blocks into a chandelier quilt. It should be pretty with all the colors against a white background.
Terriamn, hope your volunteering days are going well. SBG, doesn’t sound like you really want to resist the shop hop! lol. It’s always fun to see the shops and new products.
Ernie is doing well. He’s just finished a course of antibiotics so we’re waiting for that to clear out before we start the thyroid meds. We’ll try them for a month or so to see if it helps him.
Time to get dressed for retreat. Enjoy your day.

Here is what I have been doing this week. One UFO from last year. Happy to have this one out of the UFO basket and ready to give to someone when the time is right. One baby quilt for a neighbor who had her first little one.
Both had a final inspection by ZuZu. She assured me the UFO was correct and met "Cat Snuggles" standards.
