Boom 34 Roses

Ibex, I have not heard of "satsuma" so I did a little googling and found that is a tree that grows a variety of mandarin oranges. Now how cool is that? Thanks for the new snippet of knowledge trip with our old friend Google.

Signs of Spring in Texas, the Shaving brush trees are in full bloom as well as some of the cacti, the blue bonnets are popping up everywhere and you can smell the citrus trees blooming. It is beautiful!

Hello everybody, as far as the high desert of Arizona it spring could mean anything.we didn’t have winter this year so we don’t have all of the snow and everything has been green . trees are blossoming all over the place thus all allergies are blossoming very interesting time.
My DH put the kickstand on his foot and broke it. we had stopped for lunch I noticed he was limping since with the diabetes he doesn’t always have feeling in his feet. long story short he ended up having to have surgery on his foot
it looks like I will be out of this next boom. As I was dressing For church on Sunday I was ready to put on my bubble suit I twisted and my leg went. My arm went out and I ended up fracturing having a lateral fracture to my left humerus. couple days in the hospital a few times back to the doctor and I have to keep it immobilized for a minimum of two months. She said it just doesn’t heal very fast, especially at our tender young age. Can we say that immobile is not a fun thing. I am not
used to just sitting doing nothing
I’m writing this via voice so there’s probably lots of mistakes. I’ve learned that I can send messages, voice messages and not have to worry about them going into text.
Enjoy your day and keep sewing let me see all the progress. You’re all making as mine. Just sits there and collect dust. Have a great day.

Awh, TG, that stinks! Can you so embroidery, cross stitch, knit or crochet while your arm mends? To me that is less apt to move your elbow, then what do I know? Take care as you practice being a patient.

Good morning from whiplash weather central. We’ve had gorgeous weather for days but the cold is moving east and will get us on Monday.
DH is having a terrible time sleeping, trying to find a comfortable position. It’s pretty miserable to be him right now.
TG! I’m so sorry to hear about the fracture! I hope you aren’t in much pain and can sleep comfortably. It’s clear we need to wear our bubble suits 24/7. Take care and please keep in touch. The booms will be here when you are ready.
The girls and their father are coming for breakfast this morning. It should be a welcome diversion for DH. We were supposed to have them tonight so their parents could attend some overnight function but I said no due to DH a couple of days ago. DDIL is going as they couldn’t find anyone to watch the girls so DS is staying home. I think DS is a little put out but after the last couple of days, I’m sure I made the right decision. Besides, DH is sleeping, if you can call it that, in the spare room so I’ve got no place for them right now. It’s still hard to refuse DS even when I know it’s the right thing.
I’m off. Hope everyone has a wonderful day. Pull those bubble suits out and zip them on. (Do bubble suits have zippers?)

Ouch TG, not fun! Talk about bad timing with your dh not being 100%. Sending you hugs and prayers.
Janice it is so hard to having to say no to spending time with our grands but I agree with you on your choice
Beautiful here today, sunny and the birds are chirping away, hard to think about the mega storm that is going to hit the Midwest. WMUT hope you can stay in tomorrow.

Maybe bubble suites have Velcro closures? Tee Hee Hee. I have had a busy day but what I expected. My son came to visit and showed me how to do some things on my camera. That lead down a rabbit trail of down loading all of photos on the memory card and putting them in the correct folder and deleting the ones already in my files. Whoosh, was that a mess. I got all of the photos of the grands in their own folders. And some day soon I will go one by one and add the names and dates to identify the photos individually. Today is the the day I am glad I only have 5 grands and not more.
Hand stitching tonight after a little respite listening a radio drama presentation that one of my teaching colleagues is in. It is fun, you just sit and pretend it is 1930 and your listening to 1930 radio for 30 minutes or so. Time to stitch for an hour before the radio drama presentation.

Good morning. At least I can say that. DH is sleeping very poorly. Next week I’m going to exercise my veto power once again and this time he’ll be angry. We’re supposed to be going to the cabin. Ummm, no. It’ll be easier here. Maybe we can go in a few weeks when hopefully he’ll be in less pain and sleeping better.
I still haven’t started quilting my remaining boom blocks. I’ll get to it eventually.
TG, it’s lucky that you are able to hand sew. It should be a nice diversion. When I was a young girl there still was the occasional mystery theatre on the radio. I can recall lying in my darkened room, listening to exaggerated creaking doors, ominous music and deep voices filled with portent. Much scarier than a movie!
I’m off. Almost time for DH’s meds. Hope you all have a lovely day.

Spring is coming, Ibex. I can hear it. The geese are honking and flying about looking for a good nesting site. It won't be long and the singleton geese will be auditioning mates. What a noisy affair but it does mean spring is near. I did peek out one of my windows this morning and saw day lilies are pushing through and showing little green sprouts. It is currently bright and sunny but oh, so cold after was 70, now its about 35 and snow forecasted for this afternoon. Winter is struggling to stay alive and got all in a huff and sent tornadoes and flooding, but the cooler weather has calmed down the wildness of the past 6 days. Yeah. Tine to get back to stitching.
I know we are in all different season zones. What are the signs of spring in you area? Bet some of you are still deep in winter while others are basking in early summer.

Boy, I'm gone for a few days and all heck breaks loose! TG, I'm horrified to hear you broke your leg! So sorry! Hope you have some family or real good friends nearby, to help you and your dh. And Janice, it's so hard to watch our loved ones suffer. Hoping that EVERYONE'S bones heal up quick and strong!
SusieQ, sorry to hear your husband is also suffering. Hope they can help him in the meantime until he can get surgery.
Good to hear from you too, Lstew.
Our weather is also crazy. Nearly 80 yesterday and the day before, and today...42! I froze all day. Hubby made a nice fire this evening which we really enjoyed. I thought we were done with fires for the season, but what did I know?
We have a UFO challenge at the big guild, and I'm getting some stuff done! Finished three of the quilts on my UFO list and currently I have picked my Scrappy Burgoyne Surrounded back up and am working on sashing all the blocks.
Happy St. Paddy's Day!
