Hand-pieced blocks I'm working on for my current project. This will be one of four cuddle quilts I'm making for my nephews and nieces. To speed up the process, I'm sticking with simple patterns using only squares of different sizes.

Looks nice! Can't go wrong with black, white and red.

Black, white and red a classic choice I have always loved. Great job on your quilts!

Can not wait to see the finished quilt! Looks great so far and I am impressed - hand stitching is something that I have never mastered.

What colour thread are you using for your hand piecing? Usually when I try to hand piece, my thread will peek through just a tad.

I usually try to match my thread to the "background" color of what I'm piecing. I'm using some reds and greys for this project. When it isn't possible or practical to match, I'll usually choose a neutral color. Also, I'm not a perfectionist. If the thread color peeks through a little, I don't stress over it. It usually won't stand out in the finished project if viewed from a distance.
