Boom 35 Sign-ups open thru April 3, 2026

Good afternoon. It’s in the mid80s. A taste of summer is upon us. I just put out my hummingbird feeders in hopes of catching early travelers.
Cheese, I’m sorry you won’t be joining us this round but please check in and let us know how the surgery has gone for you. A couple of my friends have had the surgery and all were pleased and one remarked about how all the colors she sees are more vivid. How exciting.
I’m trying to decide if I want to do two sets. Life is still a bit busy what with DH being on crutches but it should be better a few weeks into the swap. We’ll see.
There’s a week left in signups. If we don’t fill the group, we can do multiples of some fabrics as we’ve done in the past. I’m still hoping for a few more swappers to join us.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Good windy morning from WNC! What a change 12 hours can make. It’s hovering around freezing.
Here’s my fabric. The artificial light isn’t showing in true colors. The background is a pale yellow and the flowers are dark blue and red. Flowers are 1/2 to 3/4 inch wide. I’ll suggest you just use what you find in the fabric and coordinating colors. This is one of the fabrics given to me by my neighbor. I might dig out this Wild print I saw and send a second set of F8s.
I haven’t mentioned my neighbor in a while other than the fact that I sit with her a couple of hours a week. Lately, she’s been poorly so any kind thoughts you can send her and her family’s way would be appreciated. They’re all struggling with her illness as she’s been in and out of the hospital a handful of times in the last couple of months.
Knd thoughts would be appreciated too for Ernie. He’s not quite himself although he’s got feisty moments. We think he’s feeling his age very recently. Well, he is almost 15 I must remind myself
Hope you aren’t in this wind and are planning a nice weekend.
Reminder, the signups close on the third. If you are fence sitting, come on over! All are welcome, both new and old friends!

Oh boy florals for Janice and All2pieces, I love florals.
Both my sets will be for future great grand children, planning ahead LOL
Sending prayers for your neighbor and Ernie Janice.
It is beautiful here, the magnolias and some cactus are blooming, everything is a few weeks ahead because of the extreme heat. One of my cacti has big buds on it that we have never seen bud, would be great if they open up while we are still here.

Janice - prayers and kindness coming your way for your neighbor and Ernie.
Cheese - good luck with eye surgery. DH could see so much better after his surgeries. He had to go back for an adjustment after his second surgery but it was no big deal.
Everyone - let's try to stay healthy.

Yay, it's great to have old Boom friends return to play! I've been trying to get B'stone back for the last several booms. Glad you are joining, B'stone, and everyone else too!
I have selected and cut my fabrics... another ocean theme. I am sending batik whales and lobsters, and would like to ask for batiks to be used with them if you can. Batik white is hard to find, so a regular solid white (not TOT) would be ok too. Here is the pic, with the two fabrics on the bottom and some suggested coordinates on the top. You will get either a lobster or a whale, but not both. I think these will go great together in a single quilt!

Good morning Boomers! So nice to catch up with you and see what everyone has been doing.
I will not be able to participate in this Boom, I am having cataract surgery in May on one eye and again in June for the other. Hopefully I will be able to join back in the next Boom. I so love this swap and enjoy making blocks for everyone.
I can't wait to see all of the pretty blocks you make for one another! SBG, that's beautiful fabric!!!

Here are my two sets of fabrics. The First photo is of a yellow background with dandelion's in it and the second fabric is of the dandelion clocks. Who knew the white puffballs after a dandelion blooms are called dandelion clocks? I did not, I had to look it up. My second set is once again Christmas. Because Boom ladies always make the best Christmas blocks to help me with my Christmas quilt. My family has come to expect a Christmas Quilt giveaway at our Christmas get together.
