I really like this tree fabric, it is something that would catch my eye in a fabric store.

I have decided to do two sets while I'm at it, so here is the second set of fabric. The first is what most of you will get... the tan leaves. I'm asking for white to be used with it. Three of you will get the second fabric instead, with the lions on it. I'm asking for dark navy blue to be used with that. Hope you have fun with these!
I love both of these fabrics. especially the lions

Terriamn, safe travels today and tomorrow. Hope the trip won’t be too hard on you. It’ll be wonderful to fall into your own bed tomorrow night.

Just found out a dear friend had a fall yesterday and may have a head injury. She was texting our little group last night but she stopped mid-stream. We’re all worried about her. Hope to hear something soon.

Did some yard cleanup yesterday and it kicked my you know what. Not used to all that bending and stretching and lifting. It’s past time for me to get back into yoga. Of course I’ve been telling myself this for a couple of years. Walking just isn’t enough.

Enjoy your day.

edited to add that two more packages are scheduled to arrive today. I’ll start sorting fabrics this weekend. Always so much fun!
Prayers for your friend. Speaking of starting yoga, I started Zumba again after 2 years of being away. I pulled a muscle in my stomach. I still felt good after the class.

He then said once we both retire, he wanted to help like Dad did and even sew some blocks. Now we have the Queen Mary of Stashes or whatever cruise ship is outlandish. We stopped at Marshall's Dry Goids in Batesville, Arkansas (if you know, you know, if not, check them out) last fall and whoop, a full shopping cart later (wholesale prices to everyone with bulk flat fold purchases) my ridiculous hubby actually asked where the other cart was! So needless to say, since we both are fully retired and hopefully all surgeries are over, the quilting mojo juices are being kick started with this Boom. Our son that is our executor, already knows the size of it and wishes we live long abd quilt alot.
Your story made me laugh out loud. My daughter tells me all the time I need to quilt faster because she is the one that will have to go through my sewing room when all is said and done.

My package was mailed on Thursday. Hope it has safe travels.

Default Happy Saturday 😊

Hi everyone. Such lovely fabrics and stories! I had to giggle over the comparisons of stockpiles. When I quit working in 2022 I had at least 4 of the dish packs that movers used filled for the move to the lake house. There were at least 10 full-to-queen size floppies packed to be quilted. I justified buying the long arm machine in 2024 just to do my own quilts. *giggle* I have been buying backing fabric and bolts of some colors for backing in addition to more stash since then. I owe my granddaughter a college graduation quilt, a nephew has a double wedding ring quilt in progress, a sweet 16 for the girl across the street, I've promised a compass rose to a sailor friend, more baby/lap quilts, ... and the stash doesn't get smaller. Lol 😆

Janice, I hope your hubby and doggy are doing well. My fabric was mailed Friday and you should have the tracking number. There's such a lovely variety of patterns this boom. I am trying to be patient but it's hard.

My sweetheart is doing better now that the weather has warmed up. He's enjoying the yard work.. We spent Easter weekend with family in Arkansas; that was a lot of driving for us. Who said they had 2 twelve hour days ahead of them? Yeesh! Travel safely.

We have family coming on the 18th for two weeks. It'll be good to visit with my 83 y.o. brother. He's talking about getting a hip replacement soon but he still gets around and lives by himself.

That's enough for now. Y'all take care and stay safe!

I added my modern print for this boom which I hope will create a modern looking simple quilt. It's plain but I hope each of you use ANY solid color with this or TOT solid to make it pop. The fabric color is a deep wine with white circles.

Cool fabric, Duckling!

A2P, that's a lot of projects! I know you can do it.

Oh Bloomers - I miss you!! Moon I recall your father - didn’t we surprise him with a quilt? And he did your ironing?
My broken humerus is healing very well (with out surgery &#128522 but still have another month to go with brace. No sewing or crafting here. And I refuse to even look at patterns and fabric online.
I will be lurking as I already can visualize what I would make with your fabric!

We made it home all in one piece. We ran into much heavier traffic than ever before and construction everywhere. Mentally I did just fine and hopefully tomorrow I will physically be AOK. Tried doctor’s recommendation of taking Tylenol first thing in the morning on traveling days. Today we were heading straight into a nasty storm and dh pulled over to see how bad it was looking on the weather map and he said it wasn’t looking good. Did I have any place I wanted to check out? Well guess what we were 20 minutes from Missouri Star quilt shop.I only went to one of their many shops. It was great, only a few customers, not the 6 bus loads that were there when I went the last time. Found some children’s fabric and a template that I am hoping to use on the Christmas fabric for this boom. Very glad to be home and sleep in my own bed

Good morning. Terriamn, glad you made it home safely. Such a long trip. I think a 13 hour to KS is excruciatingly long. I guess I’m getting old. TG, good to hear from you! So glad your arm is healing but it must be hard to be without your favorite hobbies and pastimes. Duckling, will add your modern print to the gallery soon. I think I have an idea for it. A2P, love your long and newsy post. Glad your sweetheart is improved in the warmer weather. We’re fine here. Ernie is on new thyroid meds and his appetite appears to be improving and he’s a bit more active. That’s both good and bad news as he’s keeping us hopping. Not too shabby for an almost 15 year old.

Next week should be filled with lots of arriving F8s. I think almost all are on their way or
will be tomorrow. That bodes well for an on time start.

This morning I’m going to get the binding on my little boom 33 quilt so I’ll take a pic later today. I still have another set of 12 blocks to make a second red and white quilt with but that’ll be after the Bloom blocks are done. I’ll be gardening and cleaning out a flower bed most of the day until it gets too hot.

Have a grand day.

Good memory! I had asked for blocks to surprise him with his own quilt but regrettably he passed before all the blocks came in. My sister and I cried over all the love shown to him. Some day soon I will split the blocks and make her and I a special lap quilt ... filled with love a d memories of Dad.

What a good idea, Moon. Since you have the blocks, make a new memory of your father.
