Yesterday, I only made 1 cozie to test the process, then we needed to go to town for a bit. The other 3 matching ones are cut and ready to piece/finish. I am glad that I discovered/remembered short cuts before making all 4!
While in town, I bought more colors of DMC thread for current cross stitch project that will be a pixel quilt.

I went to Shipshewana, Indiana today looking for a wide back for a quilt top I finished last week. No luck, but I did purchase a new 6.5 square up template. My other one is about 30 years old and one corner has been worn off and is no longer "square". Oops!

I am working on 6 inch paper pieced hearts to represent the state of Virginia. I have to complete 53 of these hearts for the Nifty Fifty 31 swap. The extra three blocks will be used for a charity quilt. Is it better to print off the 50+ block paper patterns on a home printer or should I get them printed at a copy store like Staples?

I need to get the tee shirt rug finished for a demo for guild. I started with blocks of color and ran out of light blue old tee shirts to cut up. I hope i can find the color in cotton knit at Hobby Lobby to fill in. If not, it's buying a tee shirt to cut up. Thrift shops around here cost the same as Hobby Lobby or Walmart cheap tees. For the demo I'll use a wash cloth for the rug backing but I want a finished rug to show.

I made a walker bag for my BIL who broke his hip. I looked at some patterns but decided to just wing it. I used a thin but stiff batting and a dark green bamboo print.

    Hi Barb,
What is a walker bag? I was at the hospital last night with a friend who had broken his hip. He is getting surgery today.
    Thanks
