I cut the whole side of my finger off a few years back. Needless to say I am very very careful now!

I was reaching across to rotary cut and sliced the back of my hand. Got a nice diagonal cut from the base of my pinkie to the base of my thumb. With the stitches it looked really Frankensteinish.

Also cut across the inside of my palm when my 4 year-old grabbed the rotary and I snatched it out of her hands by the blade. More stitches... But better me than her.

And I quit counting the nicks and scratches. Got to be too many to count. But I am getting better... Haven't cut myself in 3 or 4 days now... Hubby says I'm one of those crazy people who cut themselves for attention. I say Hubby is a pain in my...nevermind... and I should use the rotary on him.

Yes, just last night actually. I keep a supply of band-aids in my sewing machine drawer.

I laid my cutter down without closing it,moved fabric and hit the cutter slicing side of little finger open,I now close it before laying it down.

I might not be a quilter yet! I have been lucky and not caught my finger/hand/foot. Back to the sewing room for me. (Ha Ha)
