This is going to sound 'corny' but I didn't buy it and it isn't really a lesson. I joined this group and it taught me a lot of different uses for my machines and gadgets. I have learned so many things that have made quilting easier for me and the tutorials are very good. Aside from the 'Board I would have to say the most used tool I have is my old Kenmore. I use it more than all my other computerized machines combined.

Amen. I especially like it when paper piecing. Really makes finger pressing good between each piece of the block.

I've learned that I don't have to have the newest, fanciest machines out there. All I'm doing is sewing a straight line, for pity's sake...and that 1946 (or whatever year) machine does just that, beautifully! :)

Being left-handed-it always hurt to use a scissors. So, I would nominate the rotary cutter. Sewing was the last hobby I would have chosen 20 years ago, and with the rotary cutter, I feel like I'm in heaven!
