What gets me are the anchor women on TV. At first appearance these ladies look all dolled up, and boy, are they: check the eye makeup, the hair is not as overdone, but what about all this cleavage? Why do I need to be distracted by Harrison's (on Fox) cleavage when she's telling me about the kidnapping of the 10 month old baby? Good lord, woman, put a shirt on and fit the mood of conservative news reporting!
The ladies reporting news show some heavy-duty credentials, but their beauty/assests are over emphasized. This is the NEWS guys and gals. Not a beauty pagent. Let these ladies earn our respect without appearing in theatrical makeup, impossibly white glaring teeth, and low cut necklines.
Where are the values goin?

And I have never heard any guy say, Wow, look at that hot chick - she has really big lips...[/quote]

No, but when I was a lot younger no guy ever looked above my...chin or somewhere in that general area.

Re: female newscasters. Does every female newscaster have to be young and glamorous? The chat news shows in the morning shows expose legs up to the thighs. Tasteless I say. Is a woman not particularly young and glamorous not considered competent to broadcast news if she is over 35, a bit thick in the waist and modestly attired out of the running? Surpised the networks have't been sued for discriminatory hiring.
