Wow! You did quite well at the charity shops! But you have NO fabric stores at all in your town? I thought Manchester was a nice sized town.
    Kind Regards,

It is one of the largest cities in the U.K., but Patchwork isn't popular here, hence no need for craft fabric shops!!

I think I would have been glad to sell my fabric if it was the only way I could afforded to take my little dog with. Just couldn't think of leaving my pet behind. But of course I am a animal lover.

Well that was exactly what happened, so what fabric was left after raising enough was sent over to U.K. by road with our personal belongings, not much as quilting fabric is scarce in Spain too, so my quilting group had a field day, bless them!!

    My fur baby, Sasha!

some day I will get it quilted. it is just a lap quilt but I love it.
Used to make my own clothes also. Made all of prom dresses cuz they never had exactly what I wanted. Also made a dress from some gorgeous satin beaded fabric my grandparents brought back from Hong Kong. In retrospect, sure would be nice to still have some of them, as well as the ones my Mom made when we were younger. But, she is not a "saver".
