It is my hope that we get to do it in February. I put in the notice to PatriceJ to see if it will fly. Same rules as this, just different dates. You are right, it is almost time to get your partner assigned. I might start to work on that tonight/tomorrow. So many things to do with only one day off. Doesn't seem fair that work keeps interfering with the fun stuff does it. :)

Enjoy your day off. Make time to squeeze in the fun stuff. Right now I'm laid off and believe me I am enjoying my time off. I use to work 10 hours a day and drive 2 more, so it is so nice to have some time to myself. Only problem - it is too easy to put off the stuff you need to get done.
Since stuff needs to be mailed by Feb 9th - we should know fairly quick how its going. Hope we can continue.

I found a couple of possible project patterns for the swap that I thought I'd share the pix with you.

One is called Dresden Lane. I like this one because it FINALLY me see how easy it was to do. If *I* could figure it out you can too. As for the embroidery in the middle....I thought it would be fun to turn the middle into a signature part of the piece.

There is one that is a mock stained glass candle mat. The instructions look pretty simple and I am a sucker for stained glass stuff. Never done it (even in quilting) but I *do* like the looks of it.

The third one is strip piecing and alternating the angles. It looks simple (hopefully) and you could adjust it to a wall hanging size. Of course if you didn't like the quarter square triangle, half square triangles, or whatever.....change it. Who says we have to keep to it totally. Do what we want with them. hehehe

PS: Forgive the coloring on it. They were taken with the cell phone.

Love them all. If you love stain glass look - did you see my post for stain glass paper piecing patterns?

http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-87130-1.htm

I too haven't tried it yet, but would love to try.

i hand't seen that yet. Thanks. I haven't tried paper piecing yet but a friend of mine is in the process of mastering it. I'll get her to show me how to do it. I've just learned how to do (in the process of learning anyway) English paper piecing. That is a fun thing to do and very portable. I used to think that English paper piecing was only about hexagons...oh boy...was *I* wrong.

Gandme26 - love your avatar quilt - can we see a closeup? Love scappies and hearts and it has both. Do you know the pattern name?

Attention Everybody:

Go to our group activity page and make sure that I have listed a complete and accurate address for you. If not, send me a PM with it. I can't assign partners without this information (otherwise how do I know who is international or not). :)

Thank you.

To make sure you are on the list go the group activity page which is located at:

I was at a new quilt shop near Destin and found a pattern that I bought -- I rarely do that.

It is a jewelry travel case -- I will post a pix if it comes out well.
I have several ideas instead of jewelry for it
