OK, I get the reality shows like Ax Men, etc, people working, or Little People, etc, people with an unusual life situation.

But as far as I can see, NOTHING happens on these other ones. Any time I have tuned in (and it is not for long) people are just sitting around talking (at best) and hollering (at worst).

Are we supposed to be fascinated because they are "famous"?
I must be getting old, I don't even know why these people are famous or who they are.
You're not alone in wondering what people see in these shows.
I don't see any point to them at all.

My idea of a reality show is 'Sewing with Nancy', 'Antiques Roadshow' sometimes 'Sewing with Martha', but at least I am learning useful info. I have too many projects to work on, to waste time on the "idiot box', as my grandmother always called it.

Maybe I am showing my age but I think maybe it could make a big difference in the world if we took some of the violence off the screen. Ok..will step down from my box. Lol !!

Also not to offend or insult anyone, I think it gives people an escape from their daily troubles and issues. Personally, I don't care for them - if as much energy was put into people's normal lives and there is in the reality shows, maybe we wouldn't be in such a f****d up society?!?

Thank you and well said. Garbage in garbage out is mostly what I've seen. Total waste of very good time. When you get to be 70 years old you don't have time to waste watching dribble best not aired in the first place.

I think they're pretty dumb and I have never actually watched, much less followed any of them, but then again I don't waste my time on soap operas either..I consider most of those to be just a morally pitiful
