My oldest fabric that I have are feed sacks from the 40's or 50's that my grandmother saved from my grandfather throwing it out. It's kind of an ugly green pattern. Don't know what to do with it yet, but I want to make something to pass down to my three children.

I have a quilt top that my grandmother made and I'm 56. Does that count?

The amazing thing is that I have moved multiple times and evidently this box made it with me every time. Amazing.
So how long have you kept fabric?
Almost Antique? I'm older than that fabric! It can"t be Antique! LOL At what age is fabric considered Antique? Last weekend I baught some fabric listed as Vintage. What is the difference?
Back to subject does a finished project count? My oldest is a quilt that my great grand mother made is the late 20's, yardage would be 1969, still have scraps from my wedding gown.

I have fabric that I bought when I lived in CA - and I left CA in '68 & have moved 3 times! All in the 'too pretty to cut' category.

Glad that I am not the only one holding onto old fabric.

I have a half dozen feed sacks still sewn together. Will put them in a special quilt someday. Figure they are somewhere between 50 to 70 years old. Have to check my reference book.

I have a few pieces from sophomore year in High School...1967! It is still fine--and it is in fact the blue floral print that has continuously been printed/produced and most of us probably have had this or the brown one in our closets!

I received some fabric from my aunt when I was about 12. I'm now 66. She visited Fiji. It's blue and white. I think there is a yard or two.
