if you didn't notice it, and the quilter didn't notice it, then it must look like it was intentional. don't fret. people will think it was a random design. just say it was meant to be whimsical and smile.

Is it possible that the mistake is right in the middle? If so, you can call it a mirror image-it starts out the same, and end the same. I'm really sorry.

It is really beautiful, but it doesn't look so bad, it actually makes the quilt unique.

I bet no one notices. They are going to focus on the signatures and the love that went into making the quilt. It is a special quilt. Love it.

Do you know how long I had to look to see what you're talking about? Just don't tell anybody and nobody will know the difference. Someone wrote above about giving two hugs and two kisses. That's the perfect response if you need one.

It's a great quilt. The row that is off, just looks like it should be tucked under the pillow, then the other two rows are in order. But you really have to look to notice it.

If it wasn't pointed out I would never have noticed. You did a great job! The recipient will probably not even notice either if you don't tell them. Just say OOPS!! and keep on quilting.

I've read that Amish quilters always make one mistake on each quilt, since no one is perfect but God. So forgive yourself for being human and applaud yourself for being a giver.

So sorry, but try to look at it as putting a little of yourself in the quilt. My friend who taught me bead weaving said that to leave a little mistake in a piece is to leave a bit of yourself in the work. Bead weaving is one of those arts that don't lend themselves to mistakes, as with quilting; but please don't beat yourself up about it.
