Then I will put hooks under the counter top of the kitchenette where I do my cutting. Also put hooks in the closet to move the organizer when we have guests. I'm also going to figure out a way to modify one to hold my sewing machine extension so that can be hung in the closet.

I noticed that you put pleats in the outside pocket. Did you do that in all on the pockets? Need to open your tute--the answer is probably right there:)

You have just unleashed a creative streak in a bunch of people. Thank you!!!
LOL, you caught me!! I had to put the pleats in because my fibrofoggy brain mismeasured and my pocket panel was too wide for my space. I was NOT up to ripping it all apart, so the pleats were necessary for fitting the two together and into my available space. This is also why I couldn't take that seam up the sides that I included in the tutorial. If I had, then my pocket for the long ruler would have become too narrow as would the one for my strip ruler. I will probably make another at some point without this error, and put this one to another use. Perhaps for storing other items on the other end of the desk.

It's pretty quick. I think it was only about 3 hours from idea to finish; mistakes, froggin' and thinking included. And for me that thinking can be long and dangerous. LOL Hugs and smiles and happy creating.

I love that, seems I have to put my cutting rulers, mats ect away all the time and then have to go get them, this way I can "put them away" right at the end of my desk and they will always be handy. Thanks for the idea.

How clever! I am always searching for small rulers that I have stuck in my bags, etc. With this holder, everything would be right there where I needed it! Great idea!
