The difference is in the hole in the blade....the notched holes will not fit Martelli cutters. The round holes will, as well as Fiskar's. HF has a round hole so if you are trying to use it in an Olfa cutter, it will not perform.

They work fine in my two olfa cutters.

I've noticed that HF blades don't work in my Martelli cutter, but they do work in my Olfa & Fiskars cutters. I've had 1 bad blade out of the 5 or 6 I've tried so far. That still makes the price ok for me!

I have two 45mm Olfas and HF Blades is all I ever use. I did get a package once that left threads connected. 'when I took them out and examined them I found a tiny little nick caused by the knife I used to open the package with. I am more careful now when I open the pkgs and have never had any problems with the blades after that!

I have not had problems either. Cut thru several layers at a time. Everytime we go to HF I buy a couple of packs so that I can share at our guild. Saving money on blades....well, more money for fabric. Hope you find a solution.

One of the fun things about this board is the differences in opinion! LOL.
When I used a HF blade in the Olfa, it wobbled and would not cut precisely. Worked great in Martelli and Fiskar's....figure it

I, too, am sorry you are having problems. I bought mine at HF and love them. I find no difference except the price. Maybe I have just been lucky!

Fiskars here too....and a really old one at that. Was my DMIL's, then when she passed my DFIL handed all her quilting stuff to me. Great honor. But old cutter and new blades...works great.

I've not had any trouble with mine. Mine cut through several layers of fabric. I used them yesterday to cut paper and that didn't even dull them.

Do you think it is just the blades that they are sending now that are not good?

How long ago were the good blades ordered?

maybe it is just this new batch of blades that are bad...

I just got mine this week and I ordered online, they didn't cut all that good...

don't know what to say on this as some say they are really good and others like me say they are having a problem with then....That's my luck ...LOL :D
