I machine sew mine to the front, fold over to the back and then hand stitch on the back.

Me too. I sew it on the front and hand stitch the back. To the person who doesn't know how to hand stitch, look it up on you tube. There are some good tuts on it

I do both. On baby quilts I totally machine sew, as long as the fabric I use on the back is the one I don't mind binding with! On any other quilt I sew the binding to the front and hand sew to the back. That is my preference since I can never get that perfectly aligned machine stitch!!! I do a blind stitch.

Definitely hand sew the binding. It feels so good to have that feeling of completion that I REALLY DID THIS!!!

Machine stitch to front - hand stitch to back, until I found the tut with the "flange" method that looks really nice both front and back, and gives a nice extra detail. Not somthing I'd use all the time, but gives the quilt extra zip, and easy too!
