Last night I finished the flimsy of my Bonnie Hunter Orca Bay Mystery Quilt for this year. I think it turned out really well, it is pretty brightly colored! It is post 271 if you are interested.

Thanks for sharing it Jeanie. Great quilt. I haven't followed that thread so nice to see what the fuss has been all about.

Thanks for giving us the heads up ... Bright, though not overpowering. I like it a lot!!
From your comment, it looks like you were undecided on the blue ... I think it really pulls it all together nicely.

I'm like OKSGlad ... hadn't followed Orca Bay to know what to even expect.
Next time, be sure to nudge me ... and perhaps I'll join in on the Mystery too!

She has a Mystery every year starting the end of November. Makes it difficult around Christmas time, but here is no rush to finish. She recommends that you just do a few of each step if you don't have much time. This took 8 weeks, just a step at a time.

Here is a link to 2010-11 Mystery - Roll, Roll, Cotton Bowl. A much more "mellow" quilt!

I think I like that design better than the Orca, but both are beautiful, thanks for sharing.

JeanieG ... Oh my goodness ... your Roll Roll one is a real eye catcher! Very spring like on a dreary winter's morn!

Thanks so much everyone. It was a little off topic, hope no one minds too much! I really enjoyed doing both of the Mystery Quilts. They sure turn out nice. It is amazing to me how everything fits together so well, and the borders fit perfectly too.
