Yep! You're a thief! They are beautiful and good for them that they are in the hands of someone who will respect them.

Oh Kathy, What a deal you got. Nice you were able to be the recipient (even though you had to pay) but now they are in a place where they will be appreciated. Look forward to seeing how you finish them. :-)

Where are the Quilt Police when you need them?!? This is most definitely Grand Larceny! I am so glad these beauties have found a home with someone who will love them.

All of you ladies have been ever so kind. I have spoke to JC (the gentleman) and he said the most he can remember is that his mother passed away when she was 92, that she was quilting as far back as far as he can remember and he's now 82! I did just look over some of the tops and I have 4 DoubleWedding ring and 5 Grandmas flower garden and all of those are hand stitched, he said the Chicken and Kittens were done by Mother also. The Starburst were by his wife and 2 others were purchased from a friend of is wifes. Most were done near Chattanooga and Redbank area but the Wedding Rings were sone in Sale Creek area after his mother and father married.
Some one asked if he had any children to hand them down to, he has one daughter and a niece but they weren't interested in having them, so, he asked if I would like to have them for a small price. He and my aunt have since then went their seperate ways but he still comes into the office for a small chatt at times. Of course I done a little grilling on the Tops. Now he's telling me he has some afgans but says he may keep them but IF I'minerested he MAY give me one for a small price. Sure!!

NOW for news some of you may like to hear, I'm tryin to think of a way to do a PIF! Not sure which top to give and have to figure how to do the WHO! I will have to wait a cple of weeks on this as I have been caled out of town to Michigan to stay with my ill cousin recovering from bone cancer, she's in remission but still in such pain. I'll be back off and on but i the meenwhile I'll try to think of how to PIF!!

Thanks to all of your kindness, you have made me feel special and well blessed. OH, I am taking my laptop so I can stay in touch with the board!
