    Thanks Carrot, Fraew and oneteappot.

I know that a lot of us have lost loved ones (me included)in the last few months. So I felt kind of bad posting this. But I know that our fur babies are an important part of our lives.

I am still kicking, too. I have been out of town for my Dad. They tried to do angioplasty in his right leg last week but couldn't. Doc said he may end up losing that leg. He has had so many heart surgeries that he has no useful arteries left in either leg. They did the right leg in June and it is doing good. May go ahead and do a replacement in that one before Christmas.

Barb, I am so sorry for your loss. It really hard when we lose our fur babies.

I am here as well - job hunting is discouraging - too many applicants and not enough jobs. I am getting really depressed. Been busy with the squad fundraisers and some table runners to be auctioned off for Cabaret Night. Fun but nothing that brings in dollars. .

    So....

    1) What is your favorite quilt pattern? Yikes. There are a lot but so far the Chiclets pattern, the Bento Box and the Mexican Star top the list.
    2) What quilt gadget that you can not live without???? A really good cutting board and a VERY sharp pair of scissors!.
    3) Best sewing advice...(I hope to learn a lot here) Buy the very best machine you can afford. My quilting improved dramatically when I got my BabyLock Quilter's Pro =- especially the FMQ.
    4) Favorite quilt site besides "the quilting board" I like the Crafty site - they have good tips and free patterns
    5) Name other crafts you do besides quilting....mostly home improvement stuff - I just redid my basement.

Just FYI - since I have been doing a lot of applique with Wonder Under, I found that fabric pens in many colors make a nice addition to my tool set. You can add all kinds of fun designs, outlines, and embellishments.

I will add pics to a new thread.
